I had what I thought was a migraine when I went to bed, so I took my midrin. I wasn't able to fall asleep and started coughing from sinus drainage, so I took cough med. An hour later I was still awake so I broke a melatonin and toil 1.5 mg... Should have took the whole thing! I drifted off then woke to pee, every hour on the hour all stinking night! Woke at 5am for meds (before food), and never returned to sleep. Had to get up at 6:00 for appt. I hate nights like that! And yeah, I till have the headache with tingling in the temple. Oh joy of a day...not. I'm taking a nap asap! 🙏🌼
Flappsy, I have many nights like that and hate them. I've only got one bathroom in my house and have to keep going downstairs to get to it!! (I should get a commode!!) at any rate, I'm sorry your night was so bad and I'm sorry you still have the headache. I've been waking with horrible anxiety the last few mornings so I'm really off. I hope you get your nap. Another hot/steamy day today with rain coming through the rest of the week.. Here comes more pain😢 I hope you have a better day!! 💕🙏🏻🌻
I don't have nights like that often, but when I do they're awful (probably because I forget what they're like). I average 1 out of every 30 days... That's pretty darn good! So far I have yet to even get tired enough to yawn, let alone get sleepy. I'm wide awake with no nap in sight. But it could be worse... I could be exhausted and still wide awake. Score 1 🙆
AlwayZ I hate you're having a rough time. When my there unmarried siblings moved in together one sister took the downstairs room, which meant she had to climb stairs to get to the bathroom. She purchased a port chair just for nights! I've noticed anxiety more than I was having several months ago. I think it's simply from having too much going on at once.
Insomnia always sucks. I went to bed at 4 or 5 am and if was hated top sleep, woke up around 11 and feel weird. I had a dream that was apocalypse themed, and then we broke into the fairgrounds to meet up with my sister's school. ... .it didn't make sense but it was a surprisingly fun nightmare ;)
Ahh ruddy insomnia that is incredibly random. I'm on so many pills to make me sleep now but still have nights of crappiness. My daughter however.....she started suffering from insomnia in May this year. Thought it was stress induced pre exams but it hasn't gone away. Last night she got 50 minutes of sleep. This evening she went to bed at 8pm. Haven't seen her since, so fingers crossed.😴 Do hope you sleep well tonight...or are sleeping well or did! I lose track of how far behind our times here you are! P.
So sorry everyone is having sleep difficulties! ♡ I struggled with sleep last night too. I generally do though. Lots of nightmares if I do fall asleep and some night terrors. As I'm falling asleep I often have panic attacks and hallucination type things, it's very complicated to explain, basically I see things and people coming to talk, attack, menace me. They tap at windows, doors, crawl out of pillows. It's messed up. I scream a lot, and cry a lot. My poor boyfriend is pretty good at handling it though. My ex husband just slept in another room most of the time to avoid my freak outs. Last night was plain discomfort and my BF snoring due to allergies. He sounded like a truck, poor thing. He had an opening shift as a barista this morning so I caught some sleep then.
As tired as I was I never even dozed off. Here it is almost bedtime and I'm wide awake! I've not had caffeine since 1 pm. Here's to hoping and praying we all get more sleep tonight than last night! 🙏🌼💤
Insomnia is the worst! Last night the light from the DVR with keeping me awake my husband finally got up and put a piece of duct tape over it so I couldn't see the light anymore. Is anyone else having the problem with being super sensitive to light?
Luvsdragracing, I'm not sensitive to inside light. Because of my vision I've always had a nightlight in the bathroom just so I can see to get there. The light can't be in the room with me. But I'm sensitive to outside light sources; street lights, motion lights, car lights, and even the moon or sun. We had to buy black out curtains because the sun shines right in on window. I do have to turn off our DVR, or its light does affect both of us.
I'm sorry you had a rough night. I read something that said the blue electronics lights are less likely to bother people over the yellow or green. It also suggested turning alarm clocks away from the bed, or sitting something in front of the light to block out. 🙏🌼
