7 hour migraine that I can't get rid off!!

Aug 15, 2017 4:49 PM

Does any one know how to get rid of migraines? Pain killers and sleep won't help, nor does dark rooms and drinking water. Everything I normally try isn't working and I'm starting to go crazy! My vision is blurred, my words are slurred. My manager at work thought I was drunk!
I can't function, I can't eat and I can't bear the pain right now.

I also need someone to talk too due to stress and problems, is anyone up for a chat as I could use some advice??

Hey Abiii, nasty little buggers!
I get migraines and yes they can act like that..I can't vomit anymore so I get dry heaves with mine..lately tho my face starts to go numb...??
Anyway..I do what I can and when nothing works I go to ER because nothing breaks cycle but a hefty dose of everything..question to ask yourslef: how long are you willing to be in pain?

I have not had a migraine go away on its own...
I went a week with dry heaves before I decided I couldn't take it anymore..
All my best

Migraines are horrible, mine finally ended about half an hour ago which I'm grateful for, and docs only seen to give me codeine for mine which I can't take anymore due to the fact I used to be majorly addicted! Getting through 3 boxes within 2 days is not good, and that's not included all the other tablets I used to be on for pain

I don't know about the UK, our emergency room usually want to give morphine but that usually makes mine worse..I get delauded...never have they given me codiene for migranes...
But I wasn't abusive with my drugs...

Ah they never offered me that, and ah they just seemed to give me codeine for everything tbh, and I didn't intend to be yet I was always in pain so I'd take some just to take the edge off and before I realised I'd have taken quite a few

I can see how easy it would be to do...when you're in pain and you know relief is so close...

They just never seemed to work, well at first they did, but once I realised what I was doing I stopped taking all painkillers, until I no longer felt the urge to take more, now my fiancรฉ monitors what I take just to make sure I don't take too many in a day
