I sleep propped up on pillows so my upper body is at least at a 45 degree angle. this helps but can be hard on the back!

Ask your DR if you can take PRILOSEC OTC (OVER THE COUNTER). It really works. I had reflux so bad it was affecting my voice and I was close to having Barrett's Esophagus, a pre cancerous condition caused by reflux. I have to take 20 MG. twice a day to keep mine under control. Reflux is a serious condition that your DR should be made aware of, BUT IT'S TREATABLE! The difference of this medication is that it is a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) and treats the problem not masks it like Tums or Rolaids and is specifically designed to treat Acid Reflux. But, ask your DR first to make sure it doesn't interfere with or cause problems with other medications you may be taking. If your Dr approves, this medication will change your life with respect to your reflux! Good luck.

Consider adding juice to your diet, it may work for you. There are plenty of green juices that can help with acid reflux

Hi. I read not hoping to bed soon after eating and avoiding spicy foods and carbonated drinks should help. Prilosec & a couple of pillows, as mentioned earlier helps me also. Hope you feel better. :-)

I Used To Suffer With Acid Reflux. It Used To Sneak Up On Me At Work, & During Other Moments; Which Was Embarrasing. It Wasn't Until I Stopped Eating Tomatos & From Juices & Other Foods With A High Acidic Rate, & Not To Mention Quitting My Job & Taking Zantac150, The Reflux Stopped Altogether. I Do Not Your Situation & Please Ignore The Job Quitting Part! But See If Zantac150 Will Help. Also, If You Can, Do Some Research To See If There Are Any Wholistic Remedies Will Help; If The Zantac150 Doesn't Work! Good Luck!
