Acupuncture and cupping for the stiffness and pain

Oct 27, 2016 1:57 AM

I had Acupuncture and cupping today for the sixth time ever. Once years ago, and I forgot if it helped, recently a relatively inexperienced practitioner and now a second visit to a new one. At times I was wondering why I was asking for these needles and the brief prick as they go in but I have felt relief. Fingers crossed this time.

I'm interested in finding out what experiences others have had with Chinese/Japanese therapies like these?

I've not had acupuncture or cupping before but back in February I had a tattoo of a rose on the left side of my neck and OMG I feel to sleep while she was doing it and I had no left sided trigeminal neuralgia face pain for almost 4 days!
I do have Reiki tho and I find that helpful altho for financial reasons I've had to cut it back to once every 4 weeks.
I think maybe I'll try acupuncture to see if it'll give me some relief but won't be able to afford it until after Christmas now.
I hope it continues to help you xx

Wow interesting...Yeah Christmas can be a tough time for those who've spent their few $ on pain.

Thanks I had the tat done while I was in a woman's refuge and had a little bit more available cash because I didn't have to pay all the bills that I now pay in our own home plus it was a birthday treat to myself!

My doctors surgery told me that a lot of doctors surgery's here in England have had to cut back on things like acupuncture because they're not getting as much funding from the government anymore with all the government's cost cutting The private clinics near where I live are not cheap so I'll have to try and save up for a course of it after Christmas.

I've already started buying Christmas presents now as I know I can't afford to get them all in one big hit closer to Christmas

Sezzy, nice ink!!! I am getting ready to get 2 tattoos!! I actually find it so relaxing and have also fallen asleep getting them (I have many). The ones I am getting now are more special than ANY other ones I have because I'll have matching ones with my Bestie. Something that is dear to my heart and soul as well as immortalized on my body.

Alwayz I would love to get another 1 or 2 but got to save up for them. I was thinking of 3 stars...one for each of us - me, my son AJ and my daughter Jo. Or a simple colourful Mandela? But I have to save the pennies so I have time to look into it and think what I'd like.
Going to save for acupuncture first tho!!!

I never had had a tattoo before this year for various reasons....money, didn't know it they would hurt etc....but at the beginning of the year while I was still in the refuge and wasn't paying out for all my bills like now (we only had to pay a service charge and a small amount of rent) I saved and had 3 done.
The one that means the most is the one with the purple and teal butterfly saying

"Just when the caterpillar thought her life was over she began to fly"

I felt that it was very meaningful.
The purple rose on my ankle I love as well.
If you couldn't guess my favourite colour is purple and my favourite flower is the rose!
