Adopted Bailey the cat

May 13, 2016 8:14 PM

Yesterday I was approached to adopt a kitty cat called Bailey. He is named after the Irish cream drink. He had been seized by police when a drug house was raided and a lovely couple took him in. Bailey is a confident cat but not a fighter and kept getting beaten up by a neighbours cat. The neighbours cat even climbed through a hole in the screen window and ripped Bailey apart. His wounds were awful and cost a fortune. The ranger couldn't/didn't intervene so sadly the couple had to give Bailey up. I took him in yesterday and he is an absolute delight and a great distraction from pain. Baileys previous owner are lovely and going to visit him regularly so I have gained a cat and 2 new friends. I feel very lucky πŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸ‘

Dipbop, that's awesome!!! That's why I have a ferret. She takes my time and I need to have someone to take care of. Enjoy Bailey and I'm sure that he's really happy to have a wonderful and loving home to live in. {{{Hugs}}}πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»πŸ˜Š

I love pet's! We have 3 dog's and I don't know what I would do without them to be honest. My daughter and son has the Chichi and Husband and his daughter has a mutt ( really don't know what breed she is lol) love her anyway she is our old timer, and we have my dog who is larger than life she is a Golden Lab but yet she never bark's lol! Probably a good thing because the other 2 out bark her! The always seem to find a way to put a smile on my face or the Chichi loves to cuddle up with me when I lay down for a nap. Pets are awesome!

Alwayzinpain a ferret Would be so funny to watch. I imagine them to be inquisitive and playful. Moparmum 3 dogs sounds like a full family. Mutts are the best. We call them camp dogs here because I live in a remote community and they all have a similar look but are extremely hardy and very friendly. Bailey is a Siamese grey tabby cross with bright blue eyes and his fur is the colour of Irish cream. He is the odd ball of the community because most other cats are black and white.

Since Bailey moved in he has got me off the couch and playing games, and being more active just by looking after him. His pace is similar to mine so I'm not overdoing things. Its definitely a great distraction to have a pet and I can't imagine not having him. The funny antics keep me entertained all day long 😻

I think that's fabulous!!! Pets are awesome. We can rescue them and they end up doing the rescuing. Everything you imagine ferrets to be, they are (and then some!!). I wouldn't trade the kisses she gives me in the morning for anything!! πŸ’•β€οΈπŸ˜πŸ˜Š

Bailey sounds like the maincoon cat the kids and I had once, very active to an extent and very loveable and he did the most silliest things that made you crake up laughing! Like one Christmas he got under the tree and a silver bow landed sticky side down on his head and I got the cutes picture!

Enjoy Bailey, Life with a pet is such a blessing!

Dipdop, cheers to you for giving Bailey a brand new start. 🐱. I believe with love our pets will thrive and so can we.
Our free, very pathetic 9 month old, timid kitten ended up costing us $1000 in 3 months. At that time we had to treat our dog for worms and mites because of her. At 3yrs she is now the queen. At night she makes her rounds to say hey pet me I gotta go to bed, so I'm up extra early for you to feed me. Checks on our daughter. Then puts herself in the middle of our 10 yr old arthritic golden retriever's bed. Best buds. Good night πŸ’€
She started purring a year a go.
