After a really bad week

Oh it was SO GOOD to get my skates on again!
It hurt... In so many different ways, but I was having so much fun I just didn't care.
I'm paying for it today, but I still don't care ☺ it's nice to leave the house for something besides work!

I was very anxious about it but I had to do a bit of self nurturing

You brave soul, and I walk around with my hand protectinf my rear. I have had enough of landing on it or knocking it. But you go!

It.... Sort of hurts less when I'm prepared and its on purpose? Like if I bump into a door fame (which I do often) it hurts like mad, but throwing my butt into another lady on purpose - no worries apparently!

when you are prepared for a block, your body absorbs most of the shock on impact because you build up a muscular pre-tension. Walking into a door frame (or a blind side hit) are much worse because it shocks your nerves and causes your muscles to jerk into unexpected tension.
