Alcohol as Painkiller

Jul 15, 2015 10:23 PM

Today pretty much sucked. Everyone in my family is hurting more than normal. Headaches. Heat waves. Ache. Nausea. What a wonderful concoction. ... .my dad and I just split a beer hoping it might help everything be a little easier. I'm so tired. I feel numb, but a little better from the beer. I'm not sure how I'll make it through tonight. I think there's something in the air. My dad is sneezing. I have a scattered rash. I don't even know. ....

Might feel better now but wait until the morning. Ya never know. In theory it should be fine I remember an earlier post where one of your doctors told you to drink a beer.

Where I this rash at? Is it all over your body or just certain areas? Did it happen after you drank the beer?

I don't know how I'll feel in the morning, it will probably depend on if there is more burning fields tomorrow or not.
I only had half a beer, just enough to relax. Yeah, my doc did mention it, but it only works for certain pains, like the smoke caused headaches. The rash is kind of all over, and I had it for the last few days, so the beer didn't cause it.

Ferrit, how is your stress doing? I have been thinking about you and wondering if you have been feeling safer? I hope so. I would have hated to be feeling the way you had been feeling for days. I hope you have some relief.

I'm feeling a little less stressed, finally slept last night so that helps a lot.

I'm not sure beer, or any alcohol or drugs really helps pain. I think it just makes our minds forget and not care. There are times I sure wish I could forget and not care! 🙏🌼

I'm not a drinker but I have been having some thoughts of starting at times. I take so many pain pills that it would probably kill me my first sip.

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm on a bunch of meds, but very few that have serious effects of making me drowsy or spacey do alcohol doesn't really effect it. I also never have more than a half a beer, so I won't risk feeling miserable. My step mom's family drinks socially and the gang overs look awful, I can't imagine actually dealing with one.
