I have Lupus and Fibromyligia and am allergic to all helpful meds! Now J can't take Prednisone because I'm a diabetic and it raised my blood sugar to 530. I probley should have been in the hospital but I was to weak to move!
I'm allergic to a ton of meds, too. With my fibro I've used essential oils with some good success (peppermint, black pepper, lemon grass). I use an arnica gel that helps as well as an emu oil lotion that I really like.
((((( gentle hugs ))))) Meds. I hope you are able to fight through it. I hope your medical.team will find what works best for you.. Mostly I hope you find a reason to not give up.
I know it's so cliche for someone to say "count your blessings..." but for us I think it's so important. When you live with Chronic Pain it's so easy to let the pain become our life's focus. I find counting blessings help to ground me. It reminds me that I am so much more than my pain and that my life is so much more than just existing. :)
Will be thinking of you and your medical team. ((( gentle hugs )))
I'm am allergic to so many pain meds and penicillin. All the non narcotic painkillers like tordol and ultram I can't take as well as all the triptans like imitrex for my migraines. Morphine gives me hives. And with the huge debate over opiates these days I'm often left in pain because most doctors don't want me to take dallaudid. It's very frustrating. I also live in Kentucky where allergies are the worst in the country. I take 3 antihistamines daily and still wake up with a stuffy nose.
