always hot

Nov 19, 2015 9:20 PM

It takes the slightest thing to get me sweating. I'm always hot and either freezing people at home or work. My husband says it's just me. We haven't had heat on or fire burning past few days bc it's been in the 60's & 70's. The thermometer in house will say it's 72 and I'm sweating and he's not. I think I've only wore pants twice since fall hit. When I do, I get hot and sweaty. It's not menopause either, already talked to gyno about that.

Anyone else get like this?

Constantly. My internal thermostat has been on the fritz since I got fibromyalgia 22 years ago! Layers is the only thing I can suggest, and a neck pad that you can either get cold or warm up in the microwave. If you're sweating but your hands are like ice, get some of the hand warmers used for fishing and outdoor sports. Carry a "mop up" rag if you need to at a store. I sweat buckets every time I go shopping.

Rockysbaby, it could be thyroid symptoms. I'm either overheating easily or freezing cold, when no one else is. I have hypothyroidism, dx this year. Layering clothes is easiest for me, as Crankypants suggested. 🙏🌼

Rocky.. If u hasbe started any new meds lately that could be the issue. I! Having that problem noow and had an appointment with the Dr today. My issue is medicine. Ibe started the new meds all at once from tewo different doctors. Plus I have Ovarian tumors.. As for how to deal with it. Im with cranky and flappy only I can't seem to do layers dressing in layers aggravates my fibro. Can't have to many things on me the weight of all the clothes drives me nuts. I wear sundresses even now and light night gown. It sucks I know because whn other people are in the romm or house no one will be comfortable. U just have to pray your family will understand and work with u. Best of luck to u

Thank you. I will get that checked out. I haven't started any new meds lately. I will take a sweatshirt on a chilly morning, but at work I still gotta have my shorts. People come in the post office wearing layers and always asks me aren't you cold, lol. This has been going on for years, just seems to have gotten worse this year. Had my thyroid checked a couple years ago doc said everything was normal. 😟😞
