Try subutex or suboxone, they are listed as meds to help addicts get off opium addiction but they work good on my pain without the side effects of other opiates

Many good comments. Iโ€™ve had AS for many years. A high dose of Gabapentin helps with the nerve pain. Meditation/prayer can help if done early on. Anti-inflammatory diet. My pain specialist recommended Fish Oil supplements. I use Percocet only when all else fails. Iโ€™m also on a high dose of plaquinil itโ€™s an anti inflammatory drug. The rest you normally would do : Heat, cold, massage, talking to a good friend who understands your pain( like on this app. Remember, โ€œThis too shall pass.โ€ It will always does for me in 3 days. Hang in there, itโ€™s really tough to deal with at times but know you are not alone. My best wishes for you my friend may God give you the strength to endure your pain at times.๐ŸŒธ
