Anxiety sucks! Sorry for the negativity, anxiety is the worst and for some reason mine is climbing today. πŸ˜–.
It incompasitates me, I hate this.

Mar 07, 2015 12:43 PM

Oregonhomestead, I have awful anxiety as well. Some mornings I wake up with it so severely that I wonder how I will make it thru the day. I had my Dr prescribe adivan. I take it in on a as needed basis only. But it totally helps, plus it helps me to sleep well when I do take it. On the days that I am not as bad, I take 5-htp, and l-thenine supplements. I know of lots of other natural supplements to take as well, as I have struggled with this for my whole life. Do you take something at all that helps you?

Mar 07, 2015 12:57 PM

I have 1 MG Lorazapam to take as needed. They work so-so. I'm also taking 900mg st johnswort and 10,000 IU vit D3. Still feel quivers and like I can't function or even move

Mar 07, 2015 1:23 PM

Yeah, lorazapam is same thing. You might want to look I to 5-htp as well. I am taking 100 mg as we speak...they take the edge off by raising serotonin levels which many of us are low in. Just a thought

Mar 07, 2015 1:26 PM

There is also lemon balm and holy basil leaf which I take from time to time. Sometimes honestly I feel better if I can just take something! Guess its placebo effect. But hey, whatever helps cause I know how anxiety is paralyzing at times...yes it sucks for sure.

Mar 08, 2015 12:50 PM

Oregonhomested, I take 7. Mg of Tranxene for anxiety. I've used it for a long time. I pray you'll be improved by bedtime. Do nothing stressful today but relaxing things.

Mar 08, 2015 10:48 PM

Thank you Flappys... Ended up with a massive migraine today. I took lorazapam for the anxiety and tramadol knocked the edge off the headache. Still quite jittery... Tuning out for awhile

Mar 10, 2015 7:45 AM

I sympathize with you. I actually ended up taking a vistaril last night because of anxiety. I think it's mostly about what the future may hold in it's hands. The thoughts of "you may need surgery" are kind of racing through my head right now and I can't stop them. Blessings.

Mar 10, 2015 12:50 PM

I also suffer from anxiety. Mine has been climbing consistently. I think it is pretty much in line with my pain levels and depression. It's exhausting. I'm sorry you're suffering. My heart goes out to you.

Mar 11, 2015 7:25 PM

I understand. I sux never knowing how your going to feel next and what your going to do about it.

OregonHomestead be careful with Vitamin D

Mar 19, 2015 7:06 AM

Woops didn't mean to post yet. Taking to much vitamin D cab lead to many conditions including calcification of the vessels and systems. You shouldn't take more than 20000IU a day for 2 months. I'm currently on 20000IU because my levels were lo low I nearly had rickets! But once my levels are up they'll put me on are bout 500G I are about day

Mar 20, 2015 9:02 AM

Thank You for that info! I didn't know that and I already have some calcification in the aeortic (so?) artery. I am on 10000 units for 3 months.

Mar 20, 2015 9:17 AM

At johns wort is usually something that interferes with anxiety meds in a negative way. Your dr needs to be aware of any OTC meds and supplements you are taking. 5-http can be reactive with them as well. You should check this with your dr pharmacist or online at say medlink or medline. I forgot which it is.

Mar 20, 2015 9:33 AM

I didn't know that either! These were suggested by the occ doc who is the only doctor I'm seeing or trust until I establish a new pcp. I am on screw that johns wort 1050 mg a day and the Vit D 10000 IU a day. Maybe I should just drop the screw that johns wort my anxiety is only getting worse as this workers comp thing drags on anyway. My employer isn't helping my nerves either. Psychologist wants me to make sure and make time for relaxation 3xs a day

Mar 20, 2015 11:40 AM

I didn't know that stuff either... Thanks for posting all the info!! I learned something new today.

Mar 20, 2015 12:44 PM

I learned something too. I have to take a multi vitamin 2 x day, calcium 2 x day, b12 2000 units a day, b complex 1 x day,d3 1000 1 x day,Coq 10 3 x day for migraine, collegen 3 x 2 day,fiber suppliment. I have to take all of these for the rest of my life because I had Gastric Vertical Sleeve Surgery this July 29th 2 years ago.

Mar 20, 2015 12:54 PM

Sorry hit the wrong button UT I too deal with anxiety I take 20 mg of FLUoxetine l have been taking it for about 5 yrs. My primary told me to not ake it for a month to see if my sleep improves because it also has Sera toning Uptake as my Savella has it also so he thought that I'm getting too much. Well I'm a nervous wreck, and can't hardly stand myself. I am not sleeping any better but it's gotten worse I'm waking up 3 - 4 times a night .

Mar 20, 2015 1:22 PM

I am so sorry.... I hate anxiety worse than the back pain. I hope you can find calm somehow and quick! I know I feel like a giant stroke waiting to happenπŸ˜”

Mar 20, 2015 1:56 PM

If you've already got some calcification of the aortic artery you should drop your Vitamin D to 5000IU minimum

Mar 20, 2015 2:26 PM

That's probably good due to being able to get some Spring sunshine too right?

Mar 20, 2015 8:05 PM

Well as I sit here typing it has started to rain again. My back ,and legs is really hurting ,and my legs, knees, and my feet are tingling and burning on the bottom under my toes and the outside of my feet. I guess I have Nuropathy now in my feet. It's all ways something new happening.

Mar 21, 2015 6:30 AM

I'm sorry weezie. I have those same symptoms in my feet, just not the burning. It affects everything I do. I hope yours calms down some. Praying so! πŸ™πŸŒΌ

Mar 21, 2015 10:26 AM

Thanks y'all , I guess it's something that I will have to learn to live with. I hope those nerve test and MRI of my head will tell us something. My Neuro thinks it's the Syrinx that is pressing on the nerves that's causing this to happen. I'm hoping he will agree with me about getting a shunt to drain it off the inside of my Spinal Cord.

Mar 21, 2015 10:50 AM

Oh Weezie, I'm sorry you're dealing with a new neuropathy... It sucks!! It seems between us all, every time we turn around, something else goes wrong... I'll be praying for you as well. πŸ’•πŸŒ»πŸ™πŸŒΊ

Mar 21, 2015 11:53 AM

I am not trying to make anyone on the East Coast feel bad by saying this BUT, it got freakishly warm in Central Oregon last night SO.... I am sending sunshine and good mojo your way... 🌷🌞

Mar 21, 2015 1:33 PM

Thanks Alwayz I can use all the prayers I can get. Thanks for sending sunshine and good MOJO this way Oregon unfortunately it's not made it all the way down south yet. Lol its kind of cool here it's 63 and steadily raining right now the weather report says there is 98% chance of rain tomorrow. Lol I think we're going too need a boat soon to get to the truck to go to town.

Mar 21, 2015 2:10 PM

My brain is smokin' trying to get the sun to you but now we have clouds coming! I WILL NOT give up! Lol. Blessings Weez.

Mar 21, 2015 4:54 PM

Thanks Oregon don't strain your brain too hard trying to get it down here. It hasn't rained this much in 3 yrs. I'm afraid by June we will be begging for a little rain this summer. My poor garden is drowning all my plants are almost under water. My 2 potatoes plants, and all of my pepper plants may not make it. I also planted onion sets and garlic the other day and they are under water they will probably rot. All that hard back breaking work my cousin and I did. I still have corn, peas, okra, squash green beans, and tomatoes seeds to plant if it ever stops raining for the garden to dry out enough also spinach, and carrots.

Mar 21, 2015 9:03 PM

Has anyone else thought about how strange the weather has been all over the US the past 2 years besides me? Where there was drought or fires there's flooding rains or snow, and vice versa. Where it was too warm its now too cold...vice versa.

Mar 21, 2015 9:15 PM

Oh yea pay, FlappsyLady. I was just commenting to someone the other day how we always knew that by a certain time each season would start and end, now, we have gone from four seasons to TWO!!! And on top of that having all of those epic rain/snowstorms and radical temperatures. It's really quite scary when you think of it.

Mar 23, 2015 5:58 AM

Sorry i just read the thread again i meant that you should drop your Vitamin D to 5000IU maximum if you have calcification

Mar 23, 2015 10:28 AM

Thank you for that... I am so grateful for all of you and the collective knowledge... Checking out for the day, I need to find my happy place today. Good mojo to all
