Any experience with administrative leave?

Jan 25, 2017 1:09 PM

I've been put on leave (with pay thankfully) until further notice pending a decision from the short term disability insurance company.
Depending on the outcome I will either have to return to work wirth no accommodations, return to work with accommodations, go on disability or have my employment terminated.
Does anyone have any experience in this?
I am super overwhelmed right now sitting in my kitchen wondering what is going to happen to me.
None of this is going to work out well. I'm 30, too young to be approved for long term disability. Too healthy to be fully disabled and to sick to be considered healthy.

I'm so sorry you're going through this gotobef. (((gentle hugs)))

Even when things seem to be the worst, sometimes it turns out the best in the long run. I left work for surgery, planning to return after 8-12 weeks. Instead I had to go on ST disability, and eventually LT disability. Now after 7 years I'm awaiting the decision on actual disability; not at all how I planned for. Let's hope for the best outcome! Sending you hugs of strength and support, love & prayers! 🙂💕🙏🌸

I'm soo sorry that this is all happening to you.
Will you need to produce doctors reports for the insurance company? Would your doctor be willing to do a detailed report for you? Will they send you to their doctors?

I wish I had a magic wand to make it all go away 😢

Sending you lots of positive vibes and warm healing hugs xx
