Any places to go to get meds when medi cal won't cover meds I need?

Nov 21, 2015 5:54 AM

I am looking for help to get prescriptions for my migraines instead of the ER visits as the medicine. Any recommendation for someone on medi cal in California. What I used to talk worked but they no longer make it and the dr is like a dr of the day and they won't do a daily preventive anymore or relpax or nothing. I was seeing a neurologist

Look for a headaches specialist, there is not one close to me but in Greensboro NC I saw one and he found my triggers. He then just put me on naproxen with sodium 550 mil. And I took it w caffeine .The trick is to understand what your triggers are and when th headache starts, which is before the pain starts. Your signal could be a taste, smell, aura, or even the runs.

Do you make to much money for patient assistance programs. You can get almost any med that way. What is Medi cal. Is that a government program or an insurance. Just checking because I want to help and what headache medicines do you usually take to help this problem. I try to help people find Recources. I have helped several. Maybe, I can help you.

Oh, ok, I think I can help this person find a prescription assistance program. I can do the searching for him and send the forms to him for the meds he needs and he can take it to the doctor if he comes back on.
