I was admitted to the ER via ambulance from a seizure and obviously had been admitted 4 months previously for a triimeleolar fracture to my ankle and have RSD. I received no sympathy, they dropped my pain meds in half and then to half every 8 house when I was in tears from the pain I was told that I wasn't emergent I said I would leave AMA because I had meds at home and was told by the charge nurse that's fine, leave her name was Miriam and that was all. No paperwork, AGAIN! I was ready to apologize but she wasn't at all. I complained formally. But I am certain that it fell on dead ears. If you need emergency care in South Florida go anywhere but Bethesda hospital.

You know I have heard similar stories about Florida from a friend of mine. Its just crazy. So they did nothing for the seizure? Is that new for you?

I have been taking gabapentin for so long and never had a seizure. But I have lesions that were very small but obviously need to be attended to. I left my drivers license there so I need to go back there I don't even remember if they did a cat scan. They took blood today but I left soon after so I will go to my neurologist. Anyone here hear of mononeuritis multiplex?

Unfortunately thay happens everywhere. I went by ambo to the er for crippling back pain.. they gave me no pain relief and said i was just looking for pain killers, there's nothing they could do for me and to talk to my pain clinic (pc doctor is only on mondays and fridays).
Unfortunately there is stigmas around chronic pain and some people are uncaring. I hope you get the help you need
