Hi Sj. I was just diagnosed with significant arthritis in my low back. Taking 800mg ibuprofen 2 to 3 times a day but worried about stomach issues taking it long-term. Was on Ganpentin for few weeks but caused severe double vision and dry mouth so quit. How long have u been dx with arthritis? I'm 49 yo.
I have rheumatoid arthritis. It both sucks and blows. I also have fibromyalgia, lupus of the skin, chronic fatigue, chronic migraines, major depressive disorder, tremors, PTSD and generalized anxiety. Oh, and severe allergies. I'm 39, live in Newfoundland, Canada. I'm disabled and can't use my Computer Degree or my cell phone repair and electronics certificate. So now I write. Poetry /prose. I'm writing a book about reapers. I'm writing a children's book about dragons. I'm looking for a bumbling second hand book store owner (like Remums Lupin from the Harry Potted books, werewolves may apply 😊) to fall madly in love with... Lol! I'm new to the site and hope to find some freiends and maybe even connect with someone else on the island...
Hey peppymo1968, sorry it's taken so long to reply.. it's been a very long a depressing and busy week. I have had Osteoarthritis for about 6-7 year's now in my back, I've had it in my hip for about a year now. I also have Sjogrens Syndrome and that affects my joints as well as my eyes and Sylvia glands and my immune system. (It's an autoimmune disease) I am on Gabapentin for my Osteoarthritis and neuropathy in my feet from the Sjogrens Syndrome. I am on Plaquinall for my Sjogrens Syndrome. I can't take Ibuprofen as it tear's up my stomach. Right now with how cold it is outside, between my Osteoarthritis and Sjogrens I in a full flair.
I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my neck spine knees wrists feet i don't think there's a moving joint that don't have it i take 15mg targin 175mg lyrica and after about 3 hrs i can go and do some work The pain is bearable but the medication only lasts for 5hrs then i just drop off to sleep instantly so I have to be careful what i do
I dont have arthitis yet, but with a car accident my doctor says im likely to get it in a few years. I suffer from fobromyaglia and nerve pain from the accident. I am not in the exact same boat as you, but i do have good ear to listen . I use this muscle relief gel u can get from shopsalus.com has high praises from me and other i know with athritis. Just another thing that may help the pain. Its all natural product.
I also have Ankylosing Spondylitis, Spinal Stenosis, IBS, OA,RA, numerous Spinal surgeries, Psoriasis. I hear you all. This winter has been extremely difficult for me to. Nothing like being in pain constantly. Sending all of you 🤗 ❤️
I'm have PMR - Polymalgia Rhuematica which I have not met others with. I've been told I may have Fibro on top of that. It's auto immune also. Chronic pain... life is not as it use to be nor as I like it to be. My health limits me from doing many of the things I use to enjoy. Had been on gab but was taken off. The doc said that after being on it for so long it could have the opposite effect of what it was intended.
