Anyone else?

Oct 28, 2017 10:47 PM

I get this weird feeling that's not quite pain, and sometimes it causes what I recognize as weakness in the given joint or muscle, but other times I'll be trying to do something (like open a jar or use a dropper or walking) and the joint that is the source of this feeling just decides that it won't work. It doesn't feel like weakness, just that my body part is being stopped from doing what I'm telling it to. Does anyone else on here have experience with this? If so, how do you explain it to doctors?

I get it. It's the muscles weakening and or deteriorating. I also get muscle spasms. Not yet found anything that helps but trying, very trying, to build my muscles up.

But how do you describe it to doctors? The main problem I have is trying to get my doctor to understand what's going on

I explained it as I put it in the previous post as I had researched it first. The specialist then gave me full scans and xrays to check on the muscles. It is difficult because not a lot of doctors know much about it and the specialists are hard to talk to. They always seem to be in a rush. That's why I research as much as I can and bring the information I have to them! Good luck x

I get something similar in my wrists and ankles... like a weakness, almost pain that stops me standing or opening doors etc. Often it only lasts 10 mins or so and may come back that day then go away for weeks. I think it is related to the chronic fatigue/ fibromyalgia but I don't knoe for sure!
