Anyone in Spain with experience & advice abt S.S. benefits/docs/support for fibro?

Jan 14, 2017 1:27 AM

Have been diagnosed with Fibro for abt a year. Lost job and not entitled to unemployment benefit. Doc unsupportive and Specialist says go swimming..have tried to work from home but really struggling. Would like to try getting some sort of benefit or help. Any insight from someone living in Spain would be great. A lot of the stuff in the forum seems to be geared towards US system which is quite different...

Aesha Welcome to the community. I don't know how things work with disability in the U.K. But if you use the little magnifying glass and search disability, you will come up with older threads that cover the subject for both the US and U.K. among other places. I am sure one of our peeps from the U.K. Will be along to help you soon. Meanwhile, sit back, kick your feet up, check out some older threads and enjoy some laughs. This is a great place for info, support and whatever else you may need.🤗💕

Welcome to our community family Aesha! AlwayZ covered it already. I'm in the US too. Hugs love & prayers as you find your way through the SS maze and coping with fibro! 🙂💕🙏🌸

Hi Aesha welcome to the crazy family 😉, I'm afraid I don't know the benefits system in Spain but I'm sure that it's quite different to the system here in the UK. With regards to your doctors are you able to change to a different more helpful and caring doctor? Do you know anyone who's able to recommend any to you? Is there any advice online about fibro doctors near to you?

I'm sorry I can't help you much butI hope you find the help you need xx
