CatchMyPain Community and Pain Diary App to manage chronic illness

Anyone on this app still active?

Just downloaded it... not exactly sure how this thing works... like at all. Just thought it was a normal pain diary type thing until i loaded into it. I can't take a lot of pain meds because i have Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension or IIH for short. Any kind of opioid increases pressure and would work against my diamox.. so I'm basically stuck with the pain.. i was taking Topamax along with the diamox for a while that helped reduce the pain but my neuro deemed it "unsafe".... kind of a pain in the ass, or should i say head? Anyway. Thats my brief story. Thought I'd use this app along with others to record the pain and pain levels as a way to convince her to let me back on the Topamax.. or to get her to give a fuck about my pain in general. I'm not so good at remembering the right details when i need them later because the pain makes me scattered.

Just a quick hello. Yes, this app is usually very active. You can do a lot with it as you found there is a blog. There are color coded charts that you make based on your pain patterns. Sometimes when you chart your pain you can find things that aggrivate it more and you can change behavior. There is tons of information and friendly support. Welcome!

Yes, thank you. I'm slowly figuring it out the more that i play around with the app. So far it seems a bit more put together than others I've found.

I too have been diagnosed with IIH.
My 1st neuro was like its because youre obese. 2nd wouldnt see me if I had even a $20 balance on my acct even tho I had just been released from the hospital and needed a f/u.
Im now seeing a neuro-opthalmologist and he thinks I couldve been misdiagnosed. Hes redoing all the testing.
I went off all my meds on my own. Today have a migraine due to high atmospheric pressure.
Im in NJ btw😊

I downloaded this app about 2 weeks ago and also thought it was just a pain diary. I was actually delighted to see that there was a Blog with it and so many people being supportive of each other and sharing ideas about pain management. I love the humor section because the last blog I tried was all just negative things and nothing positive even when someone tried to post something positive it turned negative really fast. I am glad i found this app.
