Anyone try medical marijuana for fibro pain

Oct 01, 2015 11:47 AM

I'm looking into medical marijuana, a new clinic is opening near me in Canada. Has anyone tried it?

No it is still illegal in Texas. I wish they would legalize medical marijuana. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I have and I used CBD tincture and for me it was great. But about a year into on I needed more and more Somehow I built a resistance to it. Plus it gave me severe munchies. I experimented with stativa and indica. I found the indica to best for pain by giving a body high without the ( stoned) feeling. But the stevia is the head high strain.

Oregon just started selling recreational today. I have been thinking of trying it, but no sure where to even start.

I have used edibles, including lozenges and chocolate-infused, and homemade banana bread using the oils. I don't smoke it, though. I'm an ex-smoker, and that would be just too tempting. I found the edibles to be very helpful. Oh, also, I use a BenGay type of topical cream that really helps sore muscles, my arthritic hands and feet, etc.

It's legal with a script. I've tried it. And will again. I didn't find it helped but I was only learning too. Indica with high cbd is best for pain. Look into Rick Simpson's oil too. Biggest issue is cost of it all. I vaped at the recommendation of the doc. Its time consuming, I don't like the taste or smell. Infusing into coconut oil is a good option.

It depends as too what type of fibro day you are having pain, sensation, etc wise. It is helpful though! Indica with CBD are great. I hope that someday soon all states legalize it medically. I am lucky enough to live in a state that does... expense is an issue though as it is not covered by insurances.

Weezie, TX may be one of the last states to legalize. It's gonna happen nation wide. The Bible Belt states will fight it as long as possible. I was actually surprised Colorado legalized before Oregon. I personally cannot use it in any form. I get sick and weirder than normal. I did take something called Marinol once for vomiting from migraine. It's synthetic Mary Jane. They give to cancer and AIDS patients to stop vomiting I think. Anyhow one of those and 10mg morphine and my migraine wa gone within 30 minutes.

Benefits of Indica:
1. Relieves body pain
2. Relaxes muscles
3. Relieves spasms, reduces seizures
4. Relieves headaches and migraines
5. Relieves anxiety or stress

I love smoking indica for pain. It helps everything I'm going threw most of the time.

It enabled me to lower my seizure meds and without widthdrawl. So it also helps with widthdrawl. It's legal with a prescription here in Alberta.

Forgot to say it's expensive though
