Hi guys, I have an appointment in November. Im just wondering what to expect. Ive just started my pain diary on here and I have my list of symptoms. What do I need to know about my visit?
Will he pescribe me medication?
Diagnose me?
Not too sure what to expect thanks!

A pain diary is really good Laalaa 🌹
Something in black n white is always better for him to look at... this app is fab for that... i just told my osteo about it & he DLd it there and then... he said he wished more pain patients would use this simple tool to help quantify their pain. 🐴 also take notes, prepare any questions u have b4 u go... 👫take a person with u... or if not use ur fone 📲to voice record ur appointment so u can go back over it at home.

Good luck for november... more ideas will sòon follow im sure 🐫

In my experience, first visits are about getting to know histories and an overall picture less about the "nitty-gritty".... that tends to come later. Always take the most accurate/current list of your medications (even any supplements and herbs you may take), a list of your symptoms and appropriately when they started and what impacts them as well as a complete list of all individuals you've seen while trying to get a diagnosis or get treatment. Taking copies of those three basic things that the doctor can put in your file will be a HUGE help at your first appointment. (It's way easier to start gathering that stuff little by little now than to try to do it all at once when you're scrambling for time right before your appointment.)
