Approaching Dr for Prescription for Marijuana

Mar 09, 2016 4:47 PM

A follow up on TamTam's thread...I've got a couple of questions.
1. How do you approach your GP to ask for marijuana? I grew up during the whole war against drug campaign. I feel like I'm trying to be devious asking for medical marijuana. I'm just trying to find something that works and has few side effects. But, I feel guilty even asking about it.
2. I understand there are different strains that offer different types of relief. How do I know what to ask for if I get the go-ahead?
3. Is it possible to use marijuana and be able to work? I found there was no way I could work on the prescribed pain pills. My brain was not sharp enough to make the decisions I need to make. Those decisions impact the most vulnerable people in our society. I need to be sharp.

Thanks

Depending where u live, are different rules, The website medicaljane.com can help u appoach your doctor....here in Vermont there is no prescription, your doctor only states whether they have been treating you for certain medical problems for at least 6 months. Do a web search

I just flat out asked my pain management doctor when or if they were going to get certified for the medical marijuana.
