I have always been the nice guy my sister calls me a Boy Scout because I'm so nice so I was wondering does our pain make us into better people? I see normal people my age being so cruel to others acting down right evil even and yet I've never felt like I need or want to follow the crowd and act like them. I'm just wondering if because of all the crap we've been through has given us more empathy? What are your thoughts?
Tardis, I think you're right. Our pain does make us better because we become humble enough to realize where who we use to see as "the sick ones" really come from, and how "the healthy ones" (we use to be included) can and do pre- judge and misjudge others. It softens our hearts while strengthening our determination for justice and compassion towards others. Asthe old saying goes, "Don't judge a book by it's because you don't know what's inside!". Have a blessed day!
I definitely think you are right. I think we are far more likely to understand the body language of someone else in pain and to empathize with them because we know how it feels. We also know what it's like to be judged harshly, so we tend to give the benefit of the doubt.
On the other hand, I have zero tolerance for judgemental jerks, whether in my family or not. Or even doctors. I can't stand people who think their opinion on you matters. Like, no pal, your opinion ain't worth pennies.
I've always been called an "old soul" because even at a young age "7 yrs old" I would have deep conversations about people,God,the world most of the time I think it weirded people out but some people were fascinated. I also seem to understand people easily also starting at a young age "around 9" that's why I got into psychology and body language so I really think that even though we all hate the pain it has shaped us into who we are today because without our pain who knows who we might be and what would become of all the life's we have touched?
Tardis, what desease do you have?I think, you are right.I guess,i became a better person.Maybe all this topic sounds egoistical, but i think we are much kinder than others.BUT,not all of us.For example,i know some kids that are becoming "annoying ".They always want all attention!Sorry for my english)They are even crying ,if anyone isn't doing what the child wants.I know a few of this childs.I can't blame them. And adults too, every medal has two sides, someone becoming a better person, but someone becoming ....
