I'm 33 years old I'm unemployed because last year I had for knee surgeries the fourth one was a total knee replacement which I had in October in January when I was starting to heal up I had a fall on the ice and hit my knee cap really hard and since then I haven't been able to recover my kneecap pops makes weird noises hurts when I move it and when I actually hold it in it makes the pain I talked to my orthopedic surgeon about it and he said that there's nothing wrong that it's all in my head but I can barely walk three blocks or walk the mall without being in so much pain I need to take a pain pill I don't want to be on narcotics I would rather have the problem fixed then taking Oxycontin at the age of 33 I don't know what to do I don't know if I should ask for a second opinion medicaid put me on a lock-in program so my primary care doctor made all of my decisions for me I was just taken off the program only three people in state of North Dakota were removed from that program basically you could only get narcotics from your primary care doctor before my knee surgery I had cervical cancer and I had 12 surgical procedures in the year of 2015 I'm kind of at my Wit's End and what to do about my pain I don't know where to go from here!!!

I don't have any answers, but I DO want to tell you how sorry I am for what you're going through. You're totally right, nobody should have to live like this.
Are you on disability?

I've applied but got denied I live with my dad indoor a few under the table cleaning jobs I was told by my Advocate that I have a better chance of getting disability if I'm not working so I reapplied

It took me a long time. It really helps if you have a lawyer. Most of them will take 1/3 of your back pay once you get approved so there's no money out of pocket for you.

Hi Deann, I'm sorry you're in so much pain. I had knee issues, too. And, I was told on two separate occasions there was nothing wrong. The first time I had a chunk of bone wedged under my kneecap. The second time, my knee fused together! Which supposedly isn't something that happens. What I've learned is that YOU know you best. You know when there is something wrong. Is it possible to get a second opinion? Have you had a new CT or MRI? Don't give up, please. Keep searching for what's gone wrong with your knee.

Get a SSDI lawyer!!!!
Keep medical records notes ..health issuses.. Tell your PCP to help you
Keep a journal of pain, job applications and response from the jobs applied to.
Keep a record of all funds paid by others for....
Keep all appointments
Turn these in to your Medicare office
Get an FCE PFCE completed BY YOUR state!
Get an exam by the state doctor when the FCE N PFCE is done!!!!! Very very important.
Take the medical questions from SSA with you every time you go to a doc an take a filled copy when you leave.
Follow up with medical records to see when n what was sent to who n document.
Request a copy of your file on CD/DVD from SSA for your copy.

With all that said
If you completed high school or higher good luck.
And if you have funds or living in your own home#$$%&-+

Took me 7 years two re-files a lawyer 💥and becoming homeless 😖and a nervous breakdown💥 to get mine. They will be doing a recertify in a few months to see if I get to keep it.

Good luck

Deann, I'm sorry to hear your injury. My dad stepped in a hole after knew surgery and the joint popped. Months later, in a second replacement surgery he found out the glue used in the first surgery didn't hold because of the misstep. Keep pushing your doc or get another opinion if it keeps hurting. Your fall could have caused more problems. Hugs & prayers on the knew and disability! 🙂💕🙏🌼
