Auto immune disease symptoms

Mar 08, 2018 3:15 PM

OK so I have some questions for all those out there with all of me and diseases. I’ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but my doctor already told me that I have the precursors of an autoimmune disease. I’ve been having some odd symptoms I haven’t related back to this and don’t know if they even are related but the two biggies are patchy painful sores on my tongue and difficulty urinating it’s not painful but it’s like I can’t physically do it when I know I need to it’s been really weird and I don’t know if that could be related? Anyone else experience anything like this?

Me too. Almost 2 years since the 6 vertebra fracture trauma and voice changes and granduloma angular breakouts. No beuno. Similar urination issue and had doctor check me with everything normal. Wtf

Yep I haven’t brought it up to the doctor but I’ve been wondering if I’m just paranoid because my rheumatologist told me I had the beginnings of autoimmune disease or if there’s something to it plus my rheumatologist kind of blew me off so I’m kind of on my own

Please read the information on Anthony Williams website. Look up the information on thyroid disease and Epstein-Barr virus. I was tested and found to be positive 12 years ago. I developed hypothyroidism, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome after being infected with EBV and I have deteriorated over the years. I am determined to beat this! I am currently trying Anthony Williams healing diet. I am past menopause but if you are younger you should go to a doctor who specializes in balancing your hormones. That is very important. Also, get off non-steroidal anti-inflammatories and never take prednisone unless you want to destroy your immune system. (I am a nurse). My health improved once I got off of ibuprofen. I no longer got the painful body flares associated with viral infections.
I know we can heal if we can get to the root cause. So far, Anthony Williams makes the most sense after reading hundreds of books and internet articles.
It’s complicated, but if you are really keen on learning and discovering, check out the Marshall Protocol. One thing they say is that there is no proof that vitamin D is necessary as a supplement and that vitamin D interferes with the immune system if taken as a supplement. I was taking 1000 mg daily and I just threw my bottle out after reading the detailed information on the Marshall Protocol associated website called ‘Bacteriology’.
Wishing improved health to everyone…

It’s driving me crazy I’ve been tested for many thyroid problems and came back just fine several times so I feel kinda hopeless not knowing what to do or what it’s all coming from and then being on my own without medical advice with my fibromyalgia it’s just frustrating

Lady13. Interesting comments. I have Psoriasis which us considered autoimmune. PolyNeuropathy, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Spinal Stenosis and also am hypothyroid. Been taking 1,000 ml of Vit D daily and suffer really bad flares also, nerve pain, muscle spasms, tiredness ( extreme) what article is it! I thought Vit D was essential for hypothyroidism? Like to hear more.

Lady13 found the site. Interesting read. I am a retired nurse. Will do further research. Sounds promising. What do I got to lose? Thanks for the info.🌺

Painwarrior, we share most of the same symptoms. No fun at all. I have all but the AS. Like everyone, I am so tired of the pain. I agree with A. Williams and the Marshall Protocol that infection is the root cause. Only I think it is viral overload, not bacterial. (I have had the usual mumps, measles, chickenpox and Hepatitis A as a youngster and then Epstein Bar and herpes just before I got sick at age 50). The problem is there is no pill for viruses, at least none that really work. I tried antivirals to no avail.
I took myself off all meds (tried it all.... Lyrica, cymbalta, trazadone, antidepressants, ibuprofan, low dose naproxen, prescription muscle relaxants, etc.). I actually feel better with getting all that toxin load out of my system. Can think better too. Unfortunately I still need zopiclone/ativan for sleep due to pain. Heat helps a lot (electric blanket, hot tub). I wasted thousands of dollars on supplements so don't take them anymore except magnesium (1000 mg helps me sleep and prevents constipation; supposedly helps muscle cramps too).
None of us has stumbled across a cure yet so I will keep reading, researching, eating super well, resting and praying for everyone!

Forgot to share this earlier...
For those who feel they are hypothyroid (google the symptoms) but nothing shows on labs, this book is very helpful:
Hypothyroid Type 2 by Dr. Mark Starr
I bought my copy on Amazon.
This disease is very underdiagnosed.

Agreed. Yes we share many if the same Dx. I’m 63 yes young! Lol most days 90! I read the info, good read but I also disagree on his outcomes. Not ready to throw out all my meds yet! Had a GBP when younger and have Developed malabsorption of GI system. Can’t afford to chuck some of my supplements yet! Lol My favorite pastime is reading medical journals ( ya call me a geek) but it’s what led me to my career in medicine. Any good reads let me know. Magnesium is good for muscle spasms but also potassium. (? Electrolyte imbalance) Pain is an ongoing issue for me as well as many on this forum. The old adage “One Day at a Time” best describes it. Take each day as it comes and deal the best you can with it. Best wishes 🦋
