Awful naesuea

Dec 04, 2016 5:35 PM

Had a pretty nice day yesterday today was fine too. But I was trying to not take my pain meds been doing alright with it. But been super nausea all day. And extremely tired. Is this normal post surgery? Been running hot and cold also. Don't think I've had a fever.

You probably will have hot flashes if you haven't already. Being tired is super normal. I'm not sure what would cause nausea except meds, food recently eaten, your too far out for the actual surgery to cause nausea.

I believe it is normal. I easily get like you describe post surgery. A surgery is a shock for your body and your body get stressed about it and reacts.

Did you do much yesterday or the day before that? If you did, that might explain how you are feeling.

How far post op are you? If not far it can be your pain meds by not taking them.
After my past surgeries my surgeons told me again and again that post surgery treatment with pain med are not just for not feeling the pain, but also help your body calm down during recovery.

My advise use what you can for your nausea(I had cronic nausea for 2,5 years). Try to eat or drink a little, it might sound strange, but it helps your body to recover.

Think about recovery. But if you get worse or get a fever you should talk to the hospital where you had your surgery.

I hope you get better soon <3

It may be food..or lack there of ..my appetite has been very low I'm basically just eating because it's a particular meal time. But even then just a few bites. Dr said this was normal after this type of surgery and to not force food in. But I think I may need to eat more.

Being really tired can cause nausea by the way...

It sounds familiar to me when I don't have any appetite at all.. I get an awful nausea that stays all day or days..

You should eat more. Have you tried to snack between meals?
I use to snack on something I like with nutritional value between meals.
