Hi all... Back in Maine from sunny Florida. It took a week of being back to get into a flare, but it is here :( Now don't get me wrong, I had pain everyday in Florida and a couple of days where I was worried I was going to flare, but it never got there. When I was on vaccation I was in sunny warmth, had no work to worry about, and I also drank everyday almost! These are the factors that I can think of that we're different. So does this mean I have to stop working, drink more, and be in warm weather all the time for my Fibro to get better?!?! What do you all think? :)
Jesswoo, you're hilarious. All that drinking more will do is make you not feel or care. Lol. I'm glad you got some relief. I'd live to go back to Fl; haven't been able to afford a getaway or tolerate the ride in 5 years. My hubby and I love the area between Indian Rocks Beach & Treasure Island. We're playfully talking of moving there. But seriously I couldn't handle the ride, and we're both health care POA's for aging parents.
FlappsyLady, I soooooo wish you lived closer to me... I would love to be able to meet you. I've been to Treasure Island in Florida and it's nice. My Cousin lives in Brandon, Florida and its nice there, too. I like to visit there but it's so hot in the summer I can't imagine living there. I'm sorry you can't deal with the ride, it would be awesome if you could get away for a bit. 😊💕
Jess woo Glad you had a great time, and made it back home safe. I' m with Flappsy on the drinking makes you feel no pain. I have never been to Florida and don't want to live there have to deal with hurricane season every year. It's bad enough worries g about Tornadoes here in Texas. Our oldest daughter lives in AZ and it's about a 2 1/2 day trip from where I live. We have been talking about driving to see them but I don't know if I could hold up to it. Well I'm at the Dr.s talk to y'all after I find out anything.
Same situation here in NY!!! Started to warm up to between 50-60 degrees (but raining and aweful) and now back to frigid days and it's supposed to snow again!!! We went from having four distinct seasons to only TWO and they are both horrible!!! You just don't know what to do with yourself. I hope everyone can hang in there... We'll all get through this TOGETHER, remember, there's always strength in numbers!!! Blessings to everyone and I hope you can all hang on... Things WILL improve. 😊
Jesswoo,Whitehawk,Alwayz, and Flappsy , I know the weather here in East Texas can't make it's mind up either at first it was freezing, mild weather, back cold, warm and it's rained foe 3 weeks nearly straight and more rain back tomorrow. The ground is sooo saturated it's just standing all the ditches are full so the roads are staying under water. It's awful,by September we will probably be egging for rain. Lol we are never satisfied are we. I have always believed that the Barometric Pressure has something to do with our pain levels.
I would love that, but it's been over 42 yrs since I've been on a horse, I can't even ride a stationary bike because of pain in my pelvic girdle. But I'd sure give it a worl. I guess I could drive the chuck wagon lol.
Weezie, I haven't been on a horse since I had to put my mare down in 2002. She was a beautiful chestnut roan blanket Appaloosa.... She was hot and she rode like glass, every gait comfy. Even with all my crippling pain and rotted joints, I'd (probably stupidly) still swing a leg over if given the opportunity!! Then again...... The chuckwagon sounds like a hell of a lot of fun!!!
I'm certainly not getting on a horse! I last rode in my teens...too long ago. Even if my knee & hip joints allowed me to climb up in the stirrup, my pelvic area & spine would not like the bouncing. Lol I'd walk horribly cockeyed when I got down!
