I have had 3. The first one didnt allow enough time to complete the job so i had 2nd one finish his wirk cuz i refuse to allow surgeon 1 touch me. He was arrogant, god complex. He only allowed half hr. 2nd surgeon was awesome, he took about 7 hrs, that area did great but my body rejected hsrdware. 3rd surgery had removal hardware and at the end of the day had to get biopsy anyway so had to get it done. It did relieve some pain but some was perm damage. My opinion is, if your dr says you need it, do it sooner than later cuz you cant get a kink out of the wayer hose, right? You can only keep it from getting worse. Thats where i am at. If id been educated, i wouldn't have waited. Now i have perm damage. They say you will no when its time to have surgery. You do just no, when its bad enuf or if putting it off will cause paralusis.

I had back surgery about 9 months ago for a herniated disc. The doc told me that sometimes they heal on their own. So I waited 7 months until the pain was unbearable. Now I am better than before the surgery but that nerve still spasms all day every day. They told me it could take a year or two for the nerve to heal. 😞

What was so frustrating to me was I was in and out of the hospital I'm 7 hours. They sent me home. Didn't stay over night. That might after surgery I was in excruciating pain even though I was taking pain killers. I was to the point of screaming and I'm not a screamer. My husband had to call 911 and get an ambulance to take me back to the hospital. They kept me for two days just to get the pain under control.
