Today was the first day of school for us. It's the first time ever that I was able to be JUST MOM on the first day and not have to worry about going and teaching my own class. I don't have a full time teaching job this year...yet. It's in the works. I was able to drop my kid off by 7:30, get a late start on work, work a full day till 6:30, make dinner and discuss the day, make lunches for tomorrow, wash laundry, and get in bed to do it all again for the next 180 school days this year. I'm thankful my husband is able to pick my son up from school this year and I'm thankful my boy is 12 and can help around the house. He vacuumed the living and dining rooms while I made dinner! In a couple weeks I'll be teaching again, and doing private therapy after hours, and juggling that with my kid's football games and my study time so for now I'm thankful for the calm start we're getting. How was your first day at school? And what are you thankful for this time of year?
