Bad enough to be Fibro?

Jun 25, 2018 11:13 PM

I've wrestled with finding a diagnosis for the better part of the past decade.

I itch. Kind of everywhere, but it started on the heels of my feet and that continues to be where is bothers me the most. Neurologists have no answer.

Headaches. Almost always. High pitch noises and bright sunlight make them worse.

Tired. Not like the typical fibro fatigue I hear of where it exhausts you to fold your laundry. More like... I just want to sleep. Almost always. I feel drained and sleepy.

Except at night. Of course. Because insomnia.

I'll get random pains that usually last just a minute or two. These have been nearly every place on my body. Doesn't happen every day. Some days it happens multiple times, all different locations.

I have back pain related to mild scoliosis, but also occasional pain elsewhere on my back that makes more sense for Fibro.

Chronic Depression and anxiety too. I'm on 20mg Lexapro for that and it kind of helps. Going through a depressive phase at the moment I can't quite shake. I don't want to try any other medications for those conditions and I seem to be very very sensitive to them.

Anyway. I'm sick of feeling sick and itchy and headachey and feeling random pains that sometimes are really quite terrible, however brief.

Could it be Fibro? I don't think my pain is to the same level as many of you suffer from. Could it be something else?

Hi Lior, I have itchiness but put it down to both nonalcohol fatty liver disease and diabetes 2. It is reduced when I’m really strict with my food and increased hugely if I’ve eaten something I know I shouldn’t, eg bread for several days instead of oat biscuits.
