Hi. I was just wondering if anyone else has developed bad habits to avoid an increase in symptoms. With my increased chemical sensitivity I noticed that I'm drinking less water and waiting to use the washroom until it's almost an emergency because I want to avoid body sprays and perfumes sprayed to either cover what was done in the bathroom or cigarette smoke. How I wish I could work from home.
Yes! I'm gonna call them coping skills... I watch certain shows until 1 am and crash so that I'll fall asleep faster (get up at 6) I don't drink enough water because water doesn't seem to stay in my body, I only feel it on my throat and when is coming out the other side. I take really hot baths and manage to burn myself, but don't feel it till I'm out of the bath.
Yes, I do. I roll my pillow into a tight ball as I haul my body as high on head board as it can go. I try to sleep like this to curb reflux. This behavior makes my neck & back symptoms worse even as it helps my GERD. I am sure I do other stuff, too.
Silvrrry, do you have a wedge pillow? I've used them for years and recently replaced my old one. I found one online that's wider and longer, raising me from the hips instead of the waist. It's helping.
No, Flappys, I don't have a wedge pillow. I went so far as to buy one of those huge body pillows, but I do not like it. If I had a dollar for everything I have bought, on & on....... I will check them out on Amazon. Thanks for the tip. May tomorrow be a day of less pain just for you!😊
