Banish Pain

Sep 18, 2016 3:26 PM

I am so sick of being in pain! Just had another spinal fusion in July (S-1 to L-4)because 1st one did not heal.I have to many back spasms and still pain in my back and thighs, I also have nerve compression in C-4 to C-5 thoracic also feel bad. Also arthritis in thumbs with wrist pain. I started riding my stationary bike hoping it will banish my back pain! I would like to know what everyone else is doing? And what are things that make you feel better?Maybe we can banish pain together!

Stretching! I do yoga stretches in the morning for ten minutes before I even gat out of bed. It makes a world of difference!

The safest thing is water exercises or therapy. If you don't have access to a heated pool check out the local hotels.

I walk slowly on a treadmill, do stretches, relaxation, warm showers, and voltaren gel ointment. I also have muscle relaxers due to 25 the with spinal problems, OA and DDD, including sudden chronic muscle spasms in my thoracic area. Can you do an Epson salt bath soak? I use to when I could get in & out of a tub, and I still soak my feet. Hugs love and prayers you feel better soon! πŸ™‚πŸ’•πŸ™πŸŒΈ

So sorry to hear about your pain😘 heat/massage helps. I've tried progressive muscle relaxation helps some. Luckily I have a jacuzzi and my husband will help me in and out of it on my worse days. My cervical region is fused from c3 thru c-7. My lower spine is all fused and rupturing discs like 🍿 Lol I know your pain. My PCP said no more surgery! I'm also looking into water excercises like zetarlov mentioned. Try them all to see what works for you! Good luck my friend!πŸ€—
