Weezie!!! I have been so worried about you. Flappsy and I were just saying the other day that we had t heard from you. I am so glad that you have checked in. I have just taken a sigh of relief. I'm sorry the baby is having such trouble with getting on a formula that doesn't effect her tummy. I can't believe she's going to be 5 months already. Time goes so fast. I'll send prayers for you and the Baby and you're in my thoughts as always. 💕🙏🏻🌻

Sep 23, 2015 8:35 PM

Thanks so much I really appreciate all y'all support.Always I think about you and Flappsy how are y'all doing ? I know it's hard to belive she is 5 months already. She is such a happy baby, she wakes up smiling at everybody she sees. It has just been crazy around here, by the time I get in bed for the night I'm exhausted and fall to sleep pretty fast. I have missed talking to everyone.

Weezie, I am glad that she is such a happy baby. What an absolute delight. I'm sure you are enjoying her. I have missed you greatly. Since you've been "away" I have gotten a couple (a few) new diagnosis. I have TMJ with narrowing of the ear canal and hearing loss, Costochondritis and now as of my last visits to the doctors a week ago Monday, I have SI Joint disfunction with fractures. Flappsy and I had mentioned you last week and how we were worried that we hoped and prayed you were alright. I am
So very glad that you are back on with us and I hope that as busy as you are that you are back to stay (or at least you will be checking in with us more regularly). Welcome back, Weezie, you're in my prayers and I send you some {{{{{Hugs}}}}} from me to you.💕🙏🏻🌻

Have they checked the baby for allergies? I have lots of food allergies and I have to throw up if I eat the stuff I shouldn't. before that I get very strong stomach ache.

Sep 24, 2015 10:25 AM

No Daniel they say she is too young to test for allergies, not until she is 2 yrs old. Which is the pitts because she is having such a hard time with her stomach. We give her herbal tea and it helps a little to get off the gas.

Sep 24, 2015 3:00 PM

Flappsy how are you and Alwayz doing today? I'm having a horrible headache at the base of my head going up and around the side of my head. I just took my Hydrocodn / Acetaminophen 325 / 7.5, and Gabapentin 800 mg. Hopefully it will get easy.

Sep 25, 2015 8:01 AM

Weezie, how wonderful you're able to rejoin us all! (((Hugs!))) I hope your headache gets much better. I have missed you & have been concerned. I'm sorry to hear about your granddaughter having a hard time with formulas. Both our girls were the same way and by the time they reached 1 they were on regular 2% milk. To this day neither one drinks or eats a lot of dairy because they still have stomach issues. I hope your procedure goes well. I've had an ulcer and its no fun! Your family is in my prayers.

I'm struggling mentally today and stressed. We just got home from Mayo late yesterday, after being there all week. And we'd have to go back Monday for an early appt on Tuesday. It's overwhelming me & my hubby with stress traveling so much. But with God well make it through. It's too just to go into (on your post) but I'll post a new thread later, when my brain walked a little more. 🙏🌼

Flappsy, I am sorry that you are having such a difficult day and that you and hubby are so very stressed. I'm sending you gentle {{{{{Hugs}}}}} my friend. I hope that you can find some comfort in knowing that I am here for you and that I care deeply about how you are doing. You have become a special part of my life and I thank God that we connected. I hope they gave you some answers and that when you go back next week that you will have all the info you need to begin some sort of treatment so that your symptoms can be eased. You and your hubby are in my thoughts and prayers. 💕🙏🏻🌻

Flappsy it's good to here from you too I thought about you and Alwayz while I was gone. I'm so sorry you and hubby are getting so stressed going back and forth to Mayo. I can understand how that is when we were having to take the baby back and forth to League City every month. When you get our ages and with our health problems it really gets to you. I pray that you will finally get answers to what is going on with you.I have missed talking to both of you I feel like God led me to this site so that we all could support each other in times like this. Get some rest hope you feel better in the morning. Praying for you. Sending hugs.

Hi, sorry to hear about the baby. (in a new member but wanted to chime in). I don't know where you live but maybe check into a doctor who tests for food intolerance . A website that may help point you to a doctor who tests for intolerance can be found on a Web search for ALCAT testing.I do believe they test babies for intolerances. Not sure but it changed my life absolutely when i was diagnosed with several pages of food intolerances.

Wishing you the very best for you and your family. Babies are such blessings. I hope you all can find some help during this time. Big healing hugs.

Thank you Kitty I will Che k into that we had a horrible afternoon and evening today she screamed and red for hrs with her little stomach ,passing gas we finally got her calmed down enough to take a bottle of lip ton herbal decaffeinated tea and her stomach finally stopped hurting her and she felt asleep. It works on adults also for indigestion, 1 tea bag to 4 oz water with 1/4 tsp sugar.

Sep 26, 2015 11:51 PM

You can also try a touch of baking soda (just make sure it is aluminum free/chemical free). I don't know what the dose is for babies but it's worth a thought.
Sending healing energy

Some babies do well on goats milk. Might consider

Sep 27, 2015 4:58 PM

I have been thinking of trying it.

Sep 27, 2015 4:59 PM

I had been wondering how you were, glad you're back.

Sep 27, 2015 5:06 PM

Thanks ferretbandit things are crazy around here with everything goi ing on with the baby. She has OT twice a week, then doing her exercises ,her mother and daddy won't work with her because she cry's. I told them it's not hurting her it just makes her mad when do them because they are uncomfortable. How are you doing?

Sep 28, 2015 7:06 AM

I meant to say baking soda in a bit of water. Oops! It settles the stomach. It might help to mix it with something else that is palatable as the baking soda is salty. But i am sure you are getting so many home remedies thrown at your that besides dealing with a cranky, sick baby, you've got all these suggestions to consider! I can't imagine. I just hope that you can find a doctor to look into food intolerance because at that age they are definitely something to consider! And something that is in the baby's body.

Please let us know how everything goes. Have you considered getting a second opinion about food intolerances/food allergy testing?

I just think it's odd that a doc would say it isn't possible for a baby to have allergies until age 2. (and food intolerance is REAL! It's just one of those things that hasn't been really able to be tested for until now with a reliable blood test. It made a huge difference in my life. I was having serious GI issues, I was having issues at both ends if you get my drift any they were getting ready to do a colonoscopy when i found out i had the food intolerances).

Hope you all have been able to get some answers somewhere!
