Best day - long time

Apr 08, 2015 10:44 AM

Today is looking to be my best day in a long time. πŸ™Œ Even though I still have pain it doesn't cover all of my hands. The tremors are the mildest yet, & only in the right hand. My thighs/legs still feel achy & heavy, and shoulders/ upper arms too.But the worst today is my left knee. If its not pinching & buckling it's locking on me. And instead of just hurting under the kneecap where the bone spur is the pain is going down my shin bone.

I also thankful for a good, really good day! But my mind's whispering, "watch out, its not going to last!" Doggone pessimistic self! πŸ˜’ Lol. It must be our beautiful sunny weather. 🌞 I hope everyone has a good day today too, compared to the last few weeks!πŸ™πŸŒΌ

FlappysLady81, so glad you are enjoying a good day! They can be so few and far between that when they happen it's wonderful! Hope this one continues for quite some time. :)

Flappsy I am so happy for you.

Apr 08, 2015 7:30 PM

Scaryann & Weezie, it has been a good long day! I'm almost afraid to go to sleep for fear of what tomorrow will be like. I had 2 appts today and did a lot of driving, but other than feeling real tired I'm good. My eye doc said the steroid drops has calmed down the Sjogrens inflammation so I go to Systane drops. Then my PCP was a whole new person. He's definitely worried I'm moving elsewhere because he wanted to know why I ordered all my records. Lol he doesn't want to lose me because I'm his best paying patient... Keep coming back. Lol He did admit I have hypothyroidism. Hope you ladies have had a good day too! πŸ™πŸŒΌ

As Sleepy was asking about feet have you ever had a sharp pain from the arch up to under the toes. It's when I have done a lot of walking and it just comes on unexpectedly.

Weezie & Eddieray, thanks. I actually had a good day yesterday too but not as good as Wednesday. Today I am moving very stiff, but still hoping it won't be too bad. My hubby wants to go fishing with a buddy Saturday night, but if I relapse he won't go. Praying! He needs a break too, looking after me and his mom. πŸ™πŸŒΌ

I knew it was too good to last, but it was nice while it did. πŸ˜” We had storms this afternoon and now the rains moved south with the cold front. Im just watching TV and bam... Nerve pain in my hands and feet. Then about an hour later sheer exhaustion. It took all I had to get ready for bed, but I'm turning in early. Wishing everyone a good night! πŸ™πŸŒΌ

Flappsy too bad about the rain and cold front moving in hopefully it will clear out by Sunday so your husband can get away for a while. I'm sorry that you are having a rough evening. It started storming here last night about midnight,we have a dog that is terrified of Thunder he weighs about 90 lbs he wants to get in bed with us and on our heads just shaking. He nearly killed me and my sister my service dog trying to protect me and her nearly killed me by standing on the side of my hip joint she weighs 86 lbs. I didn't get much sleep fighting dogs all night. Lol I hope it doesn't rain tonight they say it's supposed to rain all weekend I hope they are wrong.

I want everyone to understand why I am sharing a bed with my sister instead of my husband. We live in a 14 x 32 ft cabin, we downsized from a 3 b 2 b double wide that was falling apart. My husband sleeps on a cot, my daughter and fiancΓ© sleep on a futon, and my cousin sleeps in the loft he has to climb a ladder to get up there. It's togetherness. It's all open I have folding panels in front of bathroom and shower. We have got to get stairs built somehow before the baby comes home so we can move all of our plastic tubs with our clothes in put in the loft. So we can n put the baby's bed up.

Thanks Weezie. The rain is gone and its going to be a little cooler today & tomorrow, but not much. I had a rough night and both legs feel heavy again. I'm just going to take it easy.πŸ™πŸŒΌ

Flappsy I am sorry that you had a bad night. It's a little colder this morning I guess this is our last cold snap. I've got to get out there and get started this morning in the garden. I have to replant tomatoes my others are not coming up yet. Also watermelons and cantalope.

Apr 11, 2015 12:47 PM

Don't over do it Weezie, or you'll regret it later.

Apr 12, 2015 2:39 PM

Flappsy I know but I get started and it is relaxing even though it's hurting the whole time. I know that sounds crazy, I guess what I mean is it is mentally relaxing I guess my stress level goes down. This morning I was sore and aching all over, but the weather forecaster said it was supposed to start raining g this evening and go all week long.ugh!!! Last yr I had to move my Confederate Rose Bush and I had them dig a big hole where I intended to fill up with miracle grow we replanted my (CRB), and I never got them to finish it. With all the rain in Feb., I went out to check on it and it was stading in a foot of water. I freaked out and started trying to dig a trench to drain out. So I asked my husband and my daughters fiancΓ© to help me transplant my irises that I have been trying for over a yr to get moved. My cousin came out to check on me and stopped me, his back is as bad or worse than mine. Finished digging the trench. I just finely cracked and started diging dirt managed to fall in a bed of briar lol it's a good thing that I had on my medical alert button to push everyone came running outside hollering for me.When they found me and got me up they all chewed me out. But I managed to get 15 Irises, replanted, and I have buds on 4 of them one already bloomed it was a beautiful yellow. It still needed more dirt to finish filling it up. I think I finally finished it today.

That's good Weezie. Maybe you can rest up in the rain. My sister sent me a video where she and our oldest sis took her granddaughter to a local state park. She was trying to teach her granddaughter how to walk across the creek on the rocks. She slipped on her bumm and it looked like she's going to hurt bad for days. I told her that stuff is for younger &/or more agile people.

My husband and neighbor got back early this am. They're cleaning the fis now; catfish, stripers, perch. He said he doesn't think all night fishing is for him anymore. Lol

Hi, FlappsyLady!!! I can't tell you how very happy I was to read this post... I'm glad to hear you're having a good day and that your pain levels and tremors are less than they have been. Perhaps, since the weather is changing for the better, so will your pain issues. I pray that that is the case. You have been in my thoughts and prayers and everyone here in the community has been sincerely missed. You have ALL been so much more help to me than you can ever know. Don't overdue when you're feeling well because you'd only regret it and I'd hate to see that happen to you. All the very best to you, Flappsy, I'm glad to be back with you all.

Apr 12, 2015 6:13 PM

Thanks AlwayZ. Today's a little worse but I know its from the rainy damp weather. Glad to have you back!

Apr 12, 2015 6:16 PM

Any time, Flappsy!!!! And I know what you mean, it is going to rain so the dampness has been effecting me as well. I'm really glad to be back. This community is truly a blessing from God and I didn't realize just how much of a blessing until I couldn't get on the app and speak to all of you.

@ Sleepy... I am so sorry I didn't respond to your question about my feet. I honestly just now saw it while trying to find something else.

Yes I do have pins & needles, semi-numbness, even temperature changes. And sometimes I get throbbing or shooting pain in the forefront of my right foot. I don't know exactly when it started but it was in the last few years. I'm sitting here now with stinging pain in the little toe of my left foot. So yes, I think you're right about our symptoms being alike. And again, I apologize for not seeing your post until today! πŸ™πŸŒΌ
