Blue 👣

Aug 04, 2016 8:53 AM

Omg, I saw a woman sitting at the docs office yesterday, wearing sandals. One of her feet and lower legs was blue, and the other normal pink. I wanted to say something but didn't want to embarrass her. I wasn't sure if she knew, and certainly didn't want to embarrass her, or worry here unnecessarily.

Has anyone else ever been in public and didn't know how to approach a subject? Or if you did, how did you approach it? 🤔

Did it look like a "circulation - issue" blue or a "Koolaid-oops" blue? I think that would impact how I would respond.

I just bowl on in there like an idiot lol... i am rather inappropriate/state the obvious kinda girl... but i have one of 'those faces' that people just want to talk to.

Only last week i met a beautiful lady... in her 60s, dressed in a long flowing dress, face and nails done, hair set. She almost glided across the car park up the Asda! So i said to her... "u look so stunning... a real dream. Its so wonderful to see someone making such an effort! Beautiful!"

Then i saw her shoes!

Only I would say..."but what happened to ur shoes!" She had those shoes kids wear at the beach, or in a pool!...
she said ..."i know! But look...!" She slipped off her shoe... and she had only half a foot! Amputated just behind the ball, all healed... she said ..."all i want is to wear pretty sandals again...but i have no toes to hold the bloody things on!" She laughed.

So i took her number! I researched into getting her a prosthetic foot... with toes to put sandals on!

I have sent her pictures of the prosthetics available... so she can choose her new foot! And now i have invited her and her husband round for afternoon tea... & i am going to mould her foot in soft latex rubber and put this inside the prosthetic foot to make it fit to her foot exactly!

The foot looks so real... u would never know and i can get it for under £30! Im going to make her whole again! (Its truely nothing compared to the joy in her eyes)

I havent told anyone ⚘ but she deserves to have pretty feet too!

Lulabel you are terrific! And no I couldn't tell the difference in the photos.

OneSouthernSweety, It was definitely a circulation issue, all the way to her knee. Couldn't see above her shorts.

Lulabel, you ARE an absolute treasure and that woman's guardian angel. Don't downplay what you've done. She may very well deserve it but YOU are the one who stepped up and helped her!! Great big loving squishy {{{{Hugs}}}} coming your way. 💕🙏🏻🌻😊
