Bras

This might sound silly, but does anyone else find Bras painful? I'm large chested do I gave to wear under wire or really structured bras and they hurt.

Yes! Especially on high pain days. Some days even the blanket hurts

Chronicpainteacher, there was a thread here quite a long time ago about bras... Yes, I am larger than DD and I find wearing a bra painful. I have to say that I also have other issues that make the bra more painful so I dread putting one on. I almost never wear one any more unless I have to go out. As soon as I get home it's the first thing I get rid of!! It's become nothing more than a torture device for me. Have you tried the Genie Bra? They're supposed to be comfy and there are no hooks and no wires and they are supposed to be supportive. Good luck and welcome to our community.💕🙏🏻🌻

Yes, I put mines on yesterday and it just hurt so bad. And I'm also too heavy, I have been trying out some of Wal-Mart no wire bras. And I love them they are supportive without the underwire or that wire on the side. They look like they have wire in them because the cups sit up. It hard to explain but check them out.

I don't wear them because it hurts my back and shoulders too much to have that pressure even though mine are just B cups. I've gotten used to not wearing them and having my hair in front of my chest to cover my nipples 🚘

Yes to that question. I don't wear a bra except if I have to go out to the doctor or to the store. If I do have to wear one, it's the first thing to come off when I get in the house, apart from my shoes. I'm also in a DD but most of the time can get away with wearing a large sports bra from Just My Size.

Yes! I am a DD and I definitely need a structured or under wire bra. But they definitely hurt like a bitch (exude my langue lol) I've tried so many bras, and the only one that was decent enough for discontinued!! I was talking to my mom about breast reduction. There's times where its hard to breath if I'm on my back. I'm very small only 5'1" and just about 100lbs, DD definitely are not for me lol. But one truck I did learn is if you do need to be wearing a new some where I would latch it on the loosest setting. It was the best thing but it helped with some tension for me.

Chronicpainteacher I have been using Genie bras now for ages as love the wider strap. I can't fumble with all those clasps anymore. They seem to be making them with lace now

Genie bras don't work for large breasts I run between a G and JJ I find reasonably priced soft bras on Roamans.com. you have to use the size chart. The brand I use is called comfort choice

No type of sports bra works if you top heavy,

Lol , I am in full support only when I have to go somewhere... And I hate bras I hate em, they hurt my ribcage and after my shoes my bra comes off next..I am okay with droopy boobies.

I was reading that bras are not good for your breasts and that women who never wore bras didn't have as much sag. I have rarely wore a bra in the last year and a half and I don't think they have sagged well any more that they already are.

This is a great topic! I thought I was the only one who rips my bra off as soon as possible! I have to wear one to work. I also tend to wear a padded one because it mades me feel more proportionally figured and not just fat. I have big hips (and too much weight) but am small chested- B cup. Some extra padding makes me feel like I look better. But weekends, days off...as soon as I get home- OFF OFF OFF!! I feel like it's a vice grip squeezing the life out of me! I've never loved bras but the desperate need to rip them off started about 2 years ago. I don't know why I feel claustrophobic in a bra now but I do... Doesn't seem to matter the type- anything that puts pressure on my rib cage :(

Shammegren, you're lucky!! I am over endowed and mine hang WAY low.. They actually call it "Coopers Droop" because the cooper's ligament that holds your breasts in place stretches and loses its elasticity and then you... Swing low... Sweet chariot.. LOL!!

Good lord alwsyz I thought I was too over endowed between a G and double j! I wish I could do the old fashioned booby exercise pushing your palms together but it hurts one of my herniated discs. Hopefully, I won't have to tuck them in my pants ( ;

Hilarious AlwayZ, as always! Lol 🙂💕🙏🌼

Lately I've been having the hardest time with bras..to the point I took the straps of one of mine and sewed the cups into my shirt just to have use of the front support without having the pain from the straps on the side. It's a new feeling getting use to it but the pain was to much. And in some situations I'm uncomfortable not having a bra on at all so I'm trying this..ha..

Feb 15, 2016 5:52 PM

I'm glad I'm not alone. I've tried every kind. I'm larger cup do I need underwrite to hold them up and make my shape look better, but oh the pain. I find myself tucking my shirt up under the wire at times for a second of relief. :(

Feb 15, 2016 5:53 PM

I found that I have the pain on the side lately it's been really worse since I've had some rib pain sometimes even my shirt touching that area hurts so trying to have a bra squeezing that area is horrible

Feb 15, 2016 5:54 PM

Mine is mostly in the ribs, plus the are wider since my pregnancies.
