Spugsie, so sorry you are going thru this. A couple of years ago I started with a horrific burning pain in my fingers that progressed to my entire hands....the pain was so severe and frustrating that I just wanted to scream. I think that the burning pain is what prompted me to start taking pain meds, aside from the neck pain, back pain, leg pain etc. I have since gotten it on other parts of my body but thankfuynot as severe and ongoing. Thankfully I have found that cymbalta helps take care of most of the nerve pain ( as I think the burning sensation is from nerve pain). I used voltaren gel and a compounded pain cream ordered by my dr for the burning pain, it did help. And for my hands I bought a 6 pk of white cotton gloves from Amazon that helped a significant amount, to cover my gel covered hands and to buffer the touch to electronics etc. I hope you find something that helps you soon!!
Spugsie, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I get burning pain in my hands & feet sometimes. I'm certain its related to disc damage in my neck and back. I use Voltaren gel too, but can't use cymbalta. I was just started on gabapentin. Good luck & I'll say a prayer for you.
