Can't fall sleep, can't stay asleep, can't wake uP

Jan 06, 2015 11:51 PM

Anyone have these issues? I have periods of time where I sleep wayyyy too much and sleep so deeply that I can't wake up sometimes...lasts a few weeks. And other times like right now, I'm tired but can't fall asleep and I probably won't fall asleep for another 4 hours only to wake up every 45mins or so. Interrupted sleep is annoying.

Also-unrelated, anyone else get a weird rash every now and then?

I was like that when my fibromyalgia started in 2007 and I started taking ambien. They weaned me off last year because of side effects. Now I'm just on my antidepressant & melatonin, but sometimes I still have a hard time falling asleep &/or staying asleep. Like last night I was asleep by midnight but my body woke me with cramps and spasms (due to cold). Sleep was on & off for me all night. I think its just part of this fibromyalgia curse!

I don't get a rash but my skin gets patches of areas, thighs, forearms and back that feel as if it has been with steam burned or road rashed... No redness or anything. It gets sore enough that clothing hurts to brush against it. It may last a couple days then goes away. I also had issues with sleep but am on Amitryptaline and propanol for chronic migraines from multiple concussions and that has seemed to help me get to sleep much quicker.

I get a weird rash the doctors don't know what it is. Sometimes rash and hives or what looks like huge hives. They have me on 2 anti depressants and gabapentin and seem to be surprised I can't sleep. I hate to say it but when I have gone to long without sleep I have been using edible marijuana and for me it works I can get a good night sleep then I literally sleep all night and all the next day. Then I will use it a second night and just sleep at night and feel so much better. I don't like doing it but when I have to get sleep from a week or more of only getting a few hours of sleep every night it is an amazing sleep aid for me.
