Chaos

Nov 11, 2015 11:39 AM

Since running out of my drugs (prescribed) since my last entry, which seems like eons ago, I have never ever felt pain in such intensity in my life, and I've been shot, stabbed once with a knife and once with..... You won't believe me... Yes a fork! Strange thing is that every so often, the scar left from the fork swells up and is infected by a virus that creates the worlds most disgusting, smell and all green, thick oozing Pus, Alison and I have ever seen, smelt bones, I've faced death several times now and escaped it's clutches. It almost got me recently when my appendix burst and we didn't realise and they literally had to cut me open, with no thought about 12 hrs fasting. I had actually gone.........
Even this doesn't come close to the intensity of the pain over the last few days. If it would have made things better I would have sold a kidney to get the ACDF OP that I need so badly. I know it won't take the damage to my spinal chord away, but as each day passes more unreversible damage is being done, the left side of my body is permanently torturing my brain, sending my Fibromyalgia into a frenzy. I finally got my medicine today and to say I'm feeling better, well I'll never be out of pain ever. Thank you goes to the awesome team of pharmacists and the wonderful receptionists at the surgery for getting things sorted out for me, when faced with a few challenges themselves, with doctors going sick, facing bereavement and the chemist retiring

Apprenticelife, I'm so glad to hear from you. I'd wondered why you hadn't been on lately. It sounds like you've had an awful time! I'm so sorry you've suffered so long without relief. I'm glad you are getting some relief now though. I hope and pray you won't ever be without meds again! Rest easy and let your pain levels go down. 🙏🌼

Wow thanks guys! There's a long way to go yet. I have a prolapsed disc at C4/5. This disc has already caused permanent damage to my spinal Chord and continues to do so with every movement I make. Thank You for your words

My C4-7 were fused in 2 surgeries, 1992 & 1995 with titanium plate & screws. The discs above & below are collapsing, but can't do surgery due to risks outweigh the advantages. C4-5 is causing severe scapular pain on & off. 🙏🌼
