Chronic Fatigue and me

Jan 05, 2017 11:14 AM

Come on eyes
Open up
Its a beautiful day.

Come on body
Rise and shine
Do you hear what I say?

I'm tired of simply
Surviving my life
There must be more to do

Than waking up
Getting dressed
Just to fall asleep once more.

Where has my energy gone?
Who stole my strength?
Did it escape through the open door?

I could sit and contemplate
From dusk to dawn
But there's one mistake I make.

To contemplate life
For that long
One must remain awake.

Chronic Fatigue
Bah! Humbug!
Zzzzzzzzz.........

Can't seem to stay awake. My hands Keep jerking while I try to read, or write etc. Right before Christmas I was sick. Went through 2 steroid packs. Just finished the second one and now the fatigue is back. Ugh. I don't have time for this. As I sit here typing this my body keeps trying to doze off. I keep typing nonsense and then jerking back awake in time to correct those typo's. Lol. Otherwise this would be unreadable. Along with the fatigue I also feel nausea - especially in the am. Blurred vision comes and goes throughout the day. Last night I also had severe indigestion.

Maybe getting out of the house tomorrow will help. If nothing else the cold should wake me up. Right?

I think I can deal better with the pain than with this chronic fatigue and how it affects my cognitive function.

Gripe over. Sorry. Am just frustrated right now.

Oh I so relate with your frustration!¡¿😣☆~¡!#. I want some quality of life hear. I hope I don't have to redefine what quality is for me😶.😞Don't want to. 😏🙄Okay I guess I'll have to start redefining. 🤔Sounds like a good topic for a new thread.

I spent the week after Christmas confined to bed. Thankfully, my husband had time off and could take the kids out to have fun during their school break. I, quite literally, could not stay awake. I'm slowly coming back to life, but I have to take it so slowly. You have my sympathy and understanding.

Oh- I use a supplement called d-ribose that helps me keep my energy levels up when I'm not ina bad flare. It makes a big difference for me. Good luck!
