chronic fatigue

Nov 08, 2014 7:21 PM

Just a FYI for those of you who have chronic fatigue along with your fibromyalgia. I saw a noticible difference while taking d-ribose. Instead of being ready to drop from exhaustion I have more energy and not that awful tired feeling all the time. It did nothing for my fibro pain but definitely noticed a difference with my chronic fatigue. Hope this can help someone as it did me. If anyone needs more info I will be glad to help.

Hey jesswoo76. Sorry for the delay I am usually on everyday. D-ribose is a dietary supplement.

I might try to get some!

All I can say is that it definitely helped me. Take 5 grams or 1 level teaspoon (I got the powder) 3 times a day. You should notice the difference in you energy level in 10-12 days. I bought the Healthy Origins brand. Hope it works for you!!!

this sounds like a good try! I have been doing Vit D as I live in a place with not a lot of sun!

Vitamin d is great! I take it too but does nothing for my chronic fatigue...

There have been studies done on the link between chronic pain, insomnia and vitamin d deficiency.
Don't have the link here but if you run a web search you'll find something.
Whilst my vitamin d levels are normal, before I started supplementing, I felt better after increasing my dose, recently stopped and had a massive flare up, you can take additional doses of vitamin d to help recommend seeing a naturopath if you can.
