i’m 14. i have eds and pots.. i haven’t been to school in 2 months and it is really hard to cope with everything. i’m in pain constantly and always feel like i’m complaining. i stress my mom out so i’ve started to not really talk about my pain because she just started a new job and i hate to stress her out more that i already do. :(

Welcome to the community jazzyrae02! I'm sorry to hear what you're going through. I'm 58 with a long list of coexisting chronic illnesses. POTS is one of the more recent diagnoses and it took 6 months for my doctors to get my medication to treat it right.Journal everything you feel going on every day. Research ways to help yourself, like changing what you eat, how often you eat; dont make a lot of changes at once or it will be too hard to figure out if a specific food is or isn't helping or hurting you. Sugar & carbs are bad for inflammation, as is gluten for susceptible people. I dont have EDS but I have many other chronic pain issues. One common thing among them all is that immobility can cause stiffness and increase pain. My rheumatologist has me doing gentle stretches every day. You know your body better than anyone, so trying various things & journaling any affects on it would be easier for a doctor to see and get a better idea of what you're going through. No matter how hard it is, try moving some every hour, even if it's doing gentle stretches or flexes movements just 5 minutes. Try and keep your joints limber, and spread activity out between rest periods. Set short term goals and focus on one at a time. The community is here for you to talk to when you feel theres noone else. And there's lots of articles discussed previously among others about EDS, so search through old posts. Take it one day at a time, one step at a time. Sending hugs, love & prayers as you find your way through living with chronic pain & illnesses. 🙂💞❤🙏🌷
