Cluster Headaches

Apr 14, 2017 1:52 PM

Me and my mum think i have cluster headaches, i seem to have most symtoms and just don't know what to do

Try neck massages, shoulder massages and drink lots of water. 80% of headaches are because we are dehydrated. Keep a journal with foods included to see if you can figure out what could be the nasty trigger. Many foods can trigger headaches. There are so many different types of headaches too. I got in a loop of rebound headaches once because of taking so much excedrin. See a neurologist as soon as you can to get it figured out. Good luck.

Sb18 I suffer from a lot of different headaches including cluster headaches. Could you describe your symptoms and I'll try to point you in the right direction both doc and diagnosis wise. I can also let you know about different treatments e.g. I have medical oxygen, triptans, nsaids and different ones work for different headaches. Also, feel free to dm me

Best wishes

Oxygen works best and fastest. I carry a small tank around with me. We are going to try botox injection in my head to try to stop them.

My symptoms are: watering eye, swelling of my right eyelid, sharp burning pain on my right side of my head, manly round my right eye, when i get them i can't stop rocking and pacing, and they just start without warning

Thank you soo much for the support, just wondering where you guys got your oxygen from?

Got an Rx from the doctor. There are a lot of oxygen suppliers around. I choose Lincare. There everywhere it seems so if I travel they can take care of me.

Hi Sb18, I would definitely agree that you have cluster headaches. I have a few questions because im in the uk and might be able to help.

•Do you get them in bouts or all year round?
•Have you been to a Dr yet? And if so what type e.g. Gp, Neurologist
•Where in the UK are you?
•What treatments have you tried?

I am in Hertfordshire, England and I get my large and small oxygen cylinders and masks etc. From BOC. I'm having a GON injection Wednesday and seeing my neuro Friday. I can explain how to get oxygen etc and try to answer any other questions just ask here or dm/pm

I can get them for like 5 months at a time then have a 2 week break then it happens again, and yes i've seen my GP and been to the hospital once, im in Oxfordshire and i'm on some tablets at the moment but i don't think there working, lots of people have said to try the oxygen but just wanna know how to get it

Ask your GP or Neurologist for home oxygen. They have to complete a Home Oxygen Order For (HOOF), state that it is for your cluster headaches (you have CCH) and that you need 15L/min and you need static and ambulatory cylinders. If they don't give it to you post again and I will help because that has happened to a few friends and I sorted it for them. I hope you're doing okay

Ive asked my GP and she said i have to wait till i go to hospital in August

May 19, 2017 2:49 PM

Has you GP diagnosed cluster headaches? If not then you need to ask for them to send an urgent referral to neurology. If you DM/PM me we can talk about everything a bit more specifically to your case but I should be able to get you something to help, even if it isnt the best thing and is just to get you through to the hospital.
Sorry that my replies are very late at the minute, I'm trying my best but I'm in the middle of exams and my health is playing up

I also get them from my TMJ but mostly from a messed up spine.
