I'm 16 and have had chronic coccydemia since the age of 12; I can barely remember but I think it started after a hip-hop class, where I don't recall falling. I've seen more than 10 doctors-tried physio therapy, osteopathy, chiropractics, accupuncture and nothing has worked. It prevents me from doing a lot of stuff that my peers can do, often making me quite depressed. I've started physio again, after a year where I essentially gave up. Any ideas on how to minimise pain?
I've had coccyx pain after a bad fall in the late 90's. They make a support belt that you can wear, which places a molded piece against the coccyx. You wear it under clothing. The physical therapy is where I got mine, doctor ordered. They also make coccyx pillows to sit on that have holes or indentions where the coccyx is. This helps relieve pressure on the area. Keeping the muscles in your low back & thighs strong will help support your coccyx during activities, to keep it aligned in place. Hugs & prayers you can get better relief soon! 🙂💕🙏🌼
