Cold and in pain

Aug 02, 2016 5:53 AM

Another week of wet and cold conditions. I cant take much more of winter. My knee is throbbing and i am so tired
It takes me 15 minutes to stand up when my knee is like this
Sorry all just need to vent.
In bed again early cause of the exhaustion and cant keep my eyes open

Laalaa, there's no need for you to be sorry. We all have days like these. Right now it's summer here in the US and it's been very hot, humid and thunder storming which make my pain levels soar. I have a very hard time getting around and I hate it. When winter comes, I rarely leave the house unless I'm having to go to the doctor. Otherwise, I hibernate like a bear!! Thank goodness I don't have the responsabilities of raising children but do have elderly parents that I have to run errands for and take them to appointments. Sending you well wishes, gentle {{{Hugs}}} and prayers for a better tomorrow. Try some heat on your knee or if you have a TENS unit that may be helpful as well. Perhaps you have a balm you could rub on to help with the pain as well. πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»πŸ˜Š

Thank you both! Ive been in bed early most nights this week. I just cant handle the cold! :(
I do have heat packs and a balm and if i get really sore i have a hot bath
Least now i know what is causing the flares
Thank god for you guys and this app! I vent to my hubby and my family is very supportive
But they dont want to listen to hours of me ranting and venting. Its very hard feeling this way and i honestly dont know how i managed in the 2 years after i had my son!

Most of the time humidity kicks me down. But we've had good heavy thunderstorms every day for a week, and it drops the humidity for a spell, then it climbs again the next day. It's actually been a relief. August is our "dog days of summer" hear & humidity, so this has been a surprise.

@ Laalaa, I understand the knee issue. Winter or summer I have to stand still before walking, after sitting or lying down for over 30 minutes. Do you wear any kind of support around your knee to keep it warm in the cold? My neighbor showed us soon "Tommy Copper" sleeves for the arms & legs, but he bought off brands and he said they worked. So my hubby has me order one for his elbow, and I have one too. They're light weight but just right for added warmth & support. I hope it's not too much longer before you get warmer weather. Hugs love & prayers! .πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸ’•πŸŒΈ
