Does anyone else get much more sick when they get a cold or some sort of illness?
My pain gets a lot more frequent and my nerve pain goes crazy. I get crazy painful headaches too, as if my head will explode if I move or blink or think.

Whenever I get sick I can barely move for the nerve shocks and joint and muscle pain. My fibro goes into overdrive. I don't know if anyone else knows what I mean by nerve shocks. It's like moving or skin touch causes these pings that are sharp and electric and almost sound because it hurts everywhere and pinpoints at the same time and not always when I move. It's like with a bad fever when you get the body aches and muscle pings.... I really don't know how else to describe it and if it's just me.... but yeah... When I get sick everything goes to hell X 1000

I can agree..I was bout to start a thread saying fibro sucks.. Ive been knocked off my feet with vertigo or something. I really don't know what I've got and the doctor has me on this pill saying try this and if its not better in two days come in and been seen by the nurse . I'm hurting I'm sweating and irritable my headache the pressure is unreal and so off the charts. The shocks u mentioned the nausea and omg the fatigue.. Why?!

I wish I could help, newfibrogirl, that has got to be awful! I'm praying that your doctor knows what he's doing and that the pill helps, or that you just get well soon!! God bless and gentle hugs

The same thing happens to me. When I'm really sick (like now with pneumonia) I the pain is horrible and I get those pings of electrical pains and the fatigue and muscle spasms and nausea and migraine. That's about where I'm at now with what I'm dealing with and I also have a fever of 101.8 so that doesn't help. I'm very, very tired and think I'm going to go down for a nap now. I hope that all my peeps are having a wonderful and peaceful day with less painπŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»

Tmiller, Absolutely! I started a sjogrens flare before Christmas then took a sinus congested cold at Christmas. I'm still fighting to get better and the past three days I feel little to no energy. I've been this way with any sickness since I developed asthma in 2001. πŸ˜·πŸ™πŸŒΌ

I think the added pain and nerve shocks are because our bodies are inflamed all over from the fibro and then we get the colds which triggers flares. A vicious cycle! πŸ˜·πŸŒΌπŸ™

I am so miserable, I really want it to end. Worked 12 hour days all week then a 9 hour today. Small pond at end of street only half frozen, very very scary that I contemplate taking one last swim! How did it get this bad??? Need my psych and a rework on the meds.

I'm sorry Newty! I hope you can get some rest soon and recuperate. Hugs & prayers tomorrow will be a better day!😷 πŸ™πŸŒΌ

Sorry to hear you are sick again Alwayz. Hope you are get over the pneumonia fast!
Tmiller, when my autistic son gets a cold I feel very sorry for him because of his sensory issues (he already is extremely sensitive being sick is like torture for him). He started one two days ago and can't blow out. He breathes in and panics. Then the cough started and I can tell it is very painful for him more than the average person. Lastly the fever came a short while ago and he woke up moaning in pain and begging me to make it stop with his cough and stuffy nose this eight year old is besides himself. Anyway I gave him some Tylenol and he has quieted down. So he won't be going to school tomorrow. On the flip side the fever tamps down his need to control everyone and everything and he acts neurotypical and he is very pleasant to be around. I feel like he is a "normal" kid when he has a fever. Hello insomnia right now though. πŸŒœπŸŒœπŸŒœπŸ‡ (chasing sleep will I catch it before my son's Tylenol wears on?)

When I get a cold, I hurt really bad. When I get a fever of any sort I feel like I am dying. I don't know why that happens. Maybe it is because what little immunity we have is then zapped for all the other things as well. Best wishes on getting well.

When I get sick fibro is magnified. I am suffering from a head cold and it takes forever to get back healthy.

Me too Ilt. I'm into my 3rd week of a cold and today was hit with lethargic fatigue.
