Color ideas

May 25, 2017 7:35 AM

I'm wondering what two or three colors people like to see together? Looking for new combinations for my beadwork. :)

May 25, 2017 10:36 AM

Pink and teal, navy and light pink, brown and green, yellow and green, various hues of one color

What type of bead work do you do? I also make jewelry when I have the time, inspiration, and energy

This is just one example of what I do.

Here's another

And this is my second try at soldering ring splints. They feel amazingly different from the ones I made out of the same wire by wire wrapping.

May 25, 2017 6:10 PM

And thank you both for the color ideas! I'll post pictures when I get time to try out the different color combinations.

May 25, 2017 6:11 PM

And this is the top side of the ring splints.

May 25, 2017 7:58 PM

Omg I love them & the splints! I was gona make splints like that, how cool you did! I play with wire work too but I can't figure out bead patterns! Yours are so pretty! 💖 Do you sell them?
Oh yeah, how bout light pink & light green?

May 25, 2017 9:05 PM

Yellow, orange and green. Dont know why but have always loved that combination.

May 25, 2017 9:06 PM

What do the ring splints do?

May 25, 2017 9:24 PM

Mimikay, they help keep my fingers from bending the wrong direction. I did a post awhile ago about hyper mobility. In it I think I posted pictures of my fingers without the splints.

Joey311, I want to sell, just haven't had much luck so far. (Plus I live in NY state, so they want their share of every penny) I'm thinking of trying to mail something out to someone though just to see how it fairs going through the postal service.

As for patterns, the peace sign is my own design. The heart is a pattern I found online (I only did the outside row of the pattern the whole heart was suppose to be filled in) and the rose was another pattern and I put them together. It was an accident really, I dropped a rose and it landed on top of a heart. After seeing them lying together like that, I put them together.

May 25, 2017 9:35 PM

I remember that post now that you mentioned it. :) fogs thick here in my head. Sorry.

May 25, 2017 9:36 PM

Sometimes accidents can lead to some amazing discoveries. :)

May 25, 2017 9:38 PM

Brain fog, gotta love it. :-)

I love turquoise and brown together. Your work is beautiful! I don't do it myself, but I absolutely LOVE bead work!

May 27, 2017 12:50 PM

Any new pretties to post? I want to make jewelry today but my body won't let me

May 27, 2017 2:37 PM

Not today. I've been working on a tutorial for a Facebook group of EDS'rs on how to make the ring splints, in between running to yard sales and picking up meds. I'm tired already and want a nap. LOL

I love, love, love the 💓 and 🌹. You are majorly talented! Royal blue and burgandy are my color picks.

I spent half the day working this design out and it's not supporting the joint I need it to. Back to the drawing board.
