Hi guys, Now that I have finally gotten some sleep over the weekend, I'm truly hoping that the worst of this flare up is over. Have only had to medicate for pain once this morning and that's really good for me at this point. I was actually able to get out of the bed this morning for about an hour to get some cleaning/laundry done so I'll take it. Wishing everybody a less pain day/night. Question though. Should I go ahead and ask pain management next Monday for something a little bit stronger then prescription ibuprofen to deal with the back pain? Thoughts/ideas?
Amanda, glad to hear your feeling a bit better. I would ask the doc for something stronger. It's always good to have back-up. You're not the type of person to just switch over to narcotics just because they are there. As long as the ibuprofen works I know you'll take that and save the stronger stuff for a flare up when it just isn't enough. I hope the rest of your day is pleasant and that you have low pain levels and peace in your heart.
Alwayz, I'm trying to have peace right now but I'm really worried about something right now. This emergency appointment with the surgeon has got me thinking that I'm probably going to either have a biopsy in the office tomorrow or a trip to the OR is in order. Trying to pray that they will just biopsy it and that will be it.i already have to go to the OR this month for facet joint injections so would rather it just be one trip instead of 2.
I completely understand and am Praying that it will be a biopsy and be over with. I'd be nervous as well. When we live with all of these painful diseases and keep getting more and more diagnosis and more pain, it makes it very hard not to let the anxiety levels soar. Hang in there, I'm sending positive vibes and gentle hugs. 😊
That's the same as mine Amanda. I found out last July about the nodule, had a follow up in January, and my next is the end of this month. If there's no changes we'll go back to every 1-2 years. Last October they found my thyroid damaged on a CT of my spine, and it showed a nodule in my left lung. I get another follow up Ct on that this fall, and if no changes he said we'll recheck in 2-5 years, depending on my asthma. I just wonder if my nodules are due to the inflammation throughout my body. 🙏🌼
