Anyone out there that has gone through this that has severe limiting pain? I'm 7 weeks out and still having pain and reduced ROM. I cannot flex my knee. Physio has it almost straight. I don't know yet if surgery is going to happen.
I'm taking 600 mg ibuprofen q 6 hours and 1000mg Tylenol every 4 hours. Trying to take Tylenol prn. Take 2-6 mg dilaudid at night or prn depending on pain. Trying not to use dilaudid, but I still need it. Just want pain to go away.
Credible, I'm sorry to hear about your injury. Have you thought about asking the doc for pain patches? I had cervical fusion in August and it was the first time is ever used them. They really kept my pain under control. Except the 48 hours I suffered severely from trying to wean off too soon!!! 😲 It may take time to recuperate. I'm still recuperating from August neck surgery. Hugs love and prayers you can have surgery soon & get the relief from pain you need! 🙂💕🙏🌸
I've had two knee surgeries, two cervical fusions, and two shoulder surgeries, each was different in how they hurt and how long they took to feel better. I can tell you, for me, the surgeries only relived some of the problems and pain, at least kept me moving with the help of pain meds. I hate taking them too but i hate laying in bed, being depressed even worse. Be careful with that much Tylenol, can damage your liver quickly. Make sure u are drinking lots of water to keep your system cleaned out.
Credible, sorry that's happened to you. I've had surgery for that with my left knee which needs to be replaced now. There is a current community member that is having similar issues with her knee and is having surgery on February 1st. Her name is AmandaMiddleton. Look up some old threads and you'll see the posts. Hang in there.🙏🏻😊💕
Thank you for your input. Trying not to take Tylenol ( liver). Trying to extend time between ibuprofen ( kidneys). Trying to take dilaudid only at night. Trying to go back to work, but I can't take dilaudid if I work. It's frustrating. Fir everyone in pain it's frustrating. All the poor people on here. I definitely couldn't work if o had a pain patch. But, that might be a good option post op.
Hi credible, yes I so understand what you are going through. I had a grade 3 pcl/mcl tear October 21st of last year. Currently recovering from surgery right now. Currently on plain Oxy every 4-6 hours around the clock. The first several days have been a killer but my bed is my friend for now.
