Constant numb-burning feet!

May 10, 2015 8:30 PM

Had to post a quick question I have had very intense numbing in my feet for the majority of my day. My leg pain is down to about a 2/10 today but my foot , well feet, are at least a7/10 I'm a bit concerned. Very intense burning , icy- hot type of feeling. I have a pt appt on Tuesday and my MRI is finally this Wednesday. Just wondering if this is something to be concerned about or should ride out until my Mri...Sleeping is so difficult!! Also tried sitting in my drivers seat again for about 2 minutes and the burning went up my whole leg. 😖 Besides that it remains in BOTH my feet when my problem has only been my right leg.. Weird!! Is this a bad sign? TIA

I believe there are many issues that can cause foot pain and the type of foot pain you are describing. I suffer for extreme foot pain like yours with mine being intermittent shards of burning hot electrical pains or stabbing pains or like my toes are being cut off. This is a result of pinched nerve roots in the lumbar region of my back. Unfortunately, the nerve has been permanently damaged and the pains are now permanent too. Some medications help but they are limited in dealing with the extreme pains.

It sounds similar to the spread of my CRPS/RSD.
The numb and burning often made it so I can barely sleep.
I also dissociated from my leg, it didn't feel real.
