Constant sickness!

Nov 15, 2015 3:12 PM

My name is Hannah. I am 17 years old. I have lupus. I was diagnosed last year after being sick for over 13 months. I seemed to be doing great shortly after that, I was well for 6 months and able to feel almost completely normal. But here I am again, sick, battling depression, and barely able to work. I seem to have a constant upper rhespratory infection that no steroid will fix. Does anyone have any ideas to help me? I feel alone in all of this.

Hi. Hannah..first let me say you are not nor never will you be alone as long as you are in this group . here you will find understanding and caring concern. I understand how u feel as far as being g sick . I have fibromayalgia and possible Lupus. My symptoms keep changing so they are not sure . the depression you feel is real but please don't allow it to take you to deep of a dark place. If you sad lonely or scared or just want to vent we are here. As far as the medicine you have tried not doing the job I would say to keep on your doctors and let your family know how you feel and that the medicine is not working. Hopefully your medical team will find a way to get you felling better.

Hannah, have you tried eucalyptus oil, pure that is, either applying to your chest or putting in a diffuser? I'm a big fan of natural essential oils. Best wishes for complete wellness, very soon, Sweetie.

Aww Hanah- I'm sorry this must be so hard. I second Latch. There are a lot of different types of oils that may be beneficial for you to try in a diffuser. Also make sure you have a nebulizer. I use one when I begin to feel my respitory track act up.

Welcome Hannah108! I'm sorry you're dealing with so much chronic immunity issues. I have asthma, allergies, sjogrens & hypothyroidism, all affect my immunity. I stay away from others who I know are sick because I catch everything, keep it 2-3x longer, and I've been this way since I reached my 30's. Our of curiosity I came across something called "Primary Immunodeficiency (PI)." It might be something you want to look into. It actually encompasses over 200 immune issues. You're in my thoughts and prayers. We're all here to help each other. 🙏🌼

Try checking out these sites, or Google "PI" topic.

Hi, I'm 15 and can relate. The endless pain and illness are very depressing, and is hard to find other people that understand. I don't know what I have for sure, but I also have chronic infections, although they're mostly sinus infections

Flappys, thanks for the links. They are ruling out Primary immunodeficiency with me.
